Hello Everypony, I’ve got some special stuff to show you guys. For those aren’t aware, I’m more than just a writer. I am also an artist. I’ve been drawing since I was a kid and for a large portion of it, especially in the last 10+ years, I’ve done fanart of stuff. With the rekindling of my appreciation of ponies, I’ve drawn quite a bit of fanart along with my recent Fanfic inspiration spree. If you’ve checked out my stories, I generally try to draw the cover images for my stories or do them eventually since the original temporary cover image for Always and Forever was just a cropped screencap from Sisterhooves Social. Now I’d like to share some of my art, mostly relating to the upcoming first chapter of Different Strokes: Welcome to Ponyville.
Here is Brush Stroke, the central main character of the series. Originally, he was just my ponysona but after a while, he became a separate entity and I made a new ponysona (the green unicorn you see in my profile icon). Brush is a painter who, in story, has recently moved to Ponyville with his family shortly after the Plunder Seeds Attack in Princess Twilight Sparkle. He’s in for a few interesting slice of life adventures as the story continues.
Sharing the spotlight with him is his little sister Calligraphy, a unicorn filly who is an aspiring writer and friend of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. She probably won’t get the spotlight as much as Brush but there will be a few stories focused on her adolescent struggles and eventual gaining of a cutie mark.
Here we have Brush and Calligraphy’s parents who will play a more supporting role in the series of stories, running the Horseshoe Press Bookstore which Brush Stroke works part-time at as a clerk. They may at least once get the spotlight themselves. Maybe something looking back on the courtship or early days raising their little family, I don’t quite know yet.
Here’s another supporting character; Cookie Press, Brush Stroke’s cousin and head barista/baker of Horseshoe Press’ indoor cafe. I’ve got a possible idea or two that may see her interacting with Pinkie or revealing some secret passion of her’s.
These two will be recurring characters of sorts and mentioned quite a bit; Hat Trick and Swift Wing, Brush Stroke’s best friends since foalhood. Hat Trick is a prestidigitation & illusion specialist at Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns while Swift Wing is serving as a member of the EUP. I have a couple ideas for the two to appear in the story and Swift Wing will probably make an appearance or two in stories outside of Different Strokes.
Here are a couple of other things like cover images for my pics and some fun concepts like shipping possibilities for Brush Stroke.
I'll probably post another blog later when I have new arts and characters. I hope you guys enjoy them.
Hiya TMNTBrony. Thanks for the follow today! Wow, this is all your artwork? It's so good! I long to art, lol, but my art is writing and that seems to make my audience happy, though I am always on the lookout for artists I can pimp and praise wherever they may lurk. I know now I must follow up and keep up with your work as it is really good! Hope we can collaborate or just chat more sometime in the future.

Very cool art! Cookie is super cute. There's something a bit... almost stallion-ish about the ones who are grinning with teeth. But this is really cool overall!
3757410 I might have made the angle to sharp on their muzzles rather than having them be more rounded like the show. I'll have to make note of that for the future. Thanks, Coffee.
