Bluespectre

All these moments will be lost, like tears in the rain.

  • TWhen The Snow Melts
In the forest of bamboo, the first snows of winter have begun to fall. A white blanket begins to cover the quiet hills the reed worker calls home. His quiet and peaceful life is changed forever by the discovery of a stranger in the snow.

    Story update and other stuff

Believe it or not I've actually started a new job at long last. I'd only planned on staying with my last employer six months, but ended up being stuck there for nearly five years. During my time there I had to put up with some of the worst bigotry I've ever encountered, despite the company claiming to be 'inclusive, supportive of diversity, etc'. Spoiler alert : They weren't!

    Bon Bon's story.

Seems to be coming along well. 365 pages at 192,769 words.

    We'll get there.

    Story Update

Now on page 280 of Bon Bon's story. Looking good so far, but quite a technical challenge as she's been involved in other parts of the Fairlight story arc and I need to be careful tying it all together. I'm also aware that I will need to incorporate Lyra's story into it too.

    Continuing on

Despite one of the readers claiming that they had felt like vomiting after reading my last story, I have pressed on with my scribblings. Apparently eliciting a physical and -or- an emotional response from a story is considered a good thing. Or so I'm told.

Ice Fall, Complete! · 6:58am Jan 27th, 2016

My week off work bore fruit, so to speak. I would call it a holiday, but i was all but shackled to my computer (Alright, so a lot of it was playing Fallout 4, but come on, can you blame me?). The good news is that Ice Fall, the short spin off that turned into the immense tome that it became, has finally been concluded. The final word count?

396,509 :pinkiegasp:

Pages currently stand at 949, but that and probably the word count as well, will change as the long and laborious task of editing begins. My plan is to do the initial run through myself of course, but then to get some kind, brave, or possibly just plain mad person to do the editing before i get bombarded by the grammar police who always seem to be lurking in the shadows...ready...

Anyway, sod 'em! I think the story was worth the effort, and if people don't like it, then tough, go read something else! There's Luna, Nightmare Moon, Celestia, Starswirl, what more do you need? You want more earth ponies? You got 'em. You want unicorns, magic, battles, the mystery of the Crystal Empire? No problem, and for adventure? There's a lot of that too. Of course, it wouldn't be a Blue Spectre story without a little romance, and that's in there ready to be discovered. Nothing full on though!

Thorn makes a re-appearance and has his own story arc. Readers may find my take on Celestia and the interaction between her, Luna and Nightmare Moon surprising, and give an interesting re-interpretation of the original FiM version. I always thought the original FiM story had barely touched on how such a cataclysmic change to the relationship of the princesses had occurred and here's my take on it. I hope it all makes sense, i hope you all enjoy it. It does, as was originally intended, tie in with the Fairlight series, but editing that frankenstein's monster is going to be my next task.

Fortune favours the bold.

Apparently
