Like sand through an hourglass, time passes on until it reaches an end. For Equestria, that end is near.
An unknown evil seeks to destroy the world through the creation of unnatural ripples in the time stream, and Spike is the one tasked to stop it.
Unfortunately, though, time is an enemy that can never be stopped.
