Do myself and Kestral a favor. Please support If Only I Had Time written by FamousLastWords.

I find the story engaging. It involves time-travel, so I know that'll rub some people the wrong way, but I can say this tale is heavily underrated. Please check it out.

wait...

It involves time-travel

no....

time-travel

..... YES!!!! I will listen and read that story!!!!

Thanks for the signal boost! Can't wait to see the next chapter of your own story.

Why would it rub people the wrong way? If you don't mind me asking.

3674706 Time travel is a ticky-tack subject. Some people love it. Some hate it. It's a concept that's really easy to mess up.

I say this from experience since Days of Friendship Past lost viewers simply because of the time travel concept alone.

3674727 Really? I wasn't confused at all when you did it.

3674753 It's a matter of preference, I suppose.

Okay lets see.... a time travel story with a crazy theory of time reversing itself through ripples caused by an unknown evil, Spike as the lead character AND it has an awesome theme song?!

Definitely putting on my watchlist! :pinkiehappy::coolphoto:

3674783 True. I like to keep an open mind.

I'm a sucker for stories involving time travel, so I'll definitely take a look at this one.

I've got no problem with time travel stories (well, except for x-men: days of future past). I'll give it a go.

3676288 I think the movie version at least did a good job.

3676706 it was good, don't get me wrong. But it was also just an excuse to erase every movie NOT directed by Bryan Singer.

3676757 Well I was pretty pissed off as a kid when they decided to kill off cyclops. So I guess I was just happy to see him again.

3676757 Not so much that. The other movies were slammed by critics. DOFP gives the series a fresh start, like First Class did. Plus, since Hugh Jackman's retiring soon from his Wolverine's role, it'll be easier to find his replacement now that everything's retconned.

I will also attest that the time travel concept can be a little tricky. Sometimes it can work but sometimes it can be a little tricky to pull off.

When Dragon Ball Z tried it with Trunks, it seemed to work well, though I was confused by the multi-verse thing at first I'm able to get it now, so DBZ pulled it off to an extent. Granted the other multiverses created made for a bit of a headache, like the alternate future that Cell came from, I think they explained it pretty well.

When Terminator did it, the only thing that confused me was how Kyle Reese was suddenly John Connor's father when he was the one who went back in time. How can he be a father if he technically shouldn't have existed yet? But everything else was still interesting at the very least.

When Sonic 2006 did it, the only confusing thing was how that girl managed to have a Chaos Emerald all those years when Sonic needed them prior to that game to defeat the other villains. That was probably the only confusing part. Going to the future was better done.

When X-Men did it in the movies, it somewhat worked. I will say that I'm glad the series was essentially rebooted to somewhat erase X3, though I didn't mind the movie I could see why it was hated. I'm just happy Cyclops was brought back, growing up, he and Gambit were my favorite X-Men.

When My Little Pony did it, I was confused at parts. I expected that all the villains would be around together, not just one at a time. While it was cool to see a future like what if Sombra ruled, what if Chrysalis ruled and Nightmare Moon (even the brief Discord and Tirek futures), in a way they don't make sense. Why is it one at a time? Episode was still entertaining (until that bogus backstory and reformation scene), but the time travel still raised some questions.

I'll admit Maximus, when I found out your third story would be time travel based, I was a little skeptical. Though it was mainly because I thought that was gonna be the Sinister Six story, I didn't realize you were making a 4th until I saw that Chrysalis would be the main villain and that somewhere along the line you confirmed a 4th story. Plus when I found out it would be a shorter story I figured I'd give it a shot. I was also concerned because I knew there wouldn't be many Parker x Sparkle moments and I knew that things would be a bit different. Not to mention I noticed it was similar to that TMNT episode (which you confirmed it was, not that I'm complaining, it was a good episode), so I was worried for predictability. You pulled it off though so there's that, and I'm glad you were able to make it work. I was worried for it before it came out, mainly because I didn't want people to sour on your stories (I even had a nice long talk with Marvel Solider about that), but I see I had little to worry about. Maybe lost a few readers but I think you have them back.

3677153 I was totally defending that story the whole time. He hasn't put out a single story I didn't like.

Same, I liked everything he made. I even liked the Rule 63 story, and I'm normally not into that type of stuff. (though to be fair I mostly liked the Peter and Mayday interaction stuff).

Oh, I knew about the butt f*cking those movies took by critics, and I was sad when Charles (sorta), Scott and Jean were killed (and happy to see their return). I just thought it was a pussy move on Fox's part. It's kinda complicated.

I liked the last stand because of the bold direction taken with it. My feeling is that killing off characters makes you care for them more and appreciate what you had with them. Bringing them back sort of took their value away. Kind of like in the comics. But at least this will ensure more movies.

Oh, and Hugh Jackman might not be retiring the role just yet. He posted a pic on Twitter showing 4 wolverine claws with the text "4??????". Not really digging his choice for his replacement, though.
