For followers of Dash and Burn, some bad news · 12:52am Jan 4th, 2016
I lost what progress I had on the most recent chapter, though if I have to be honest, I can't say it was much of a loss. Most of it consisted of imagine spots that took the place of transitions, none of which actually built much of the story. Really, I think starting the chapter over from the ground up might have been for the best for the story if I hadn't lost interest.
Yeah, sorry. I'm having a hard time continuing Dash and Burn beyond the current point partly because I'm having difficulty figuring out where and how the story continues and partly because I'm having trouble making myself care. This story was written for a contest, and now that the contest's been over for what, months, I'm just not as motivated
After I publish this blog post, I'll be marking Dash and Burn complete. I'm not going to mark it as under hiatus because I feel that, despite the plot holes and unanswered questions such as Twilight's diplomatic trip, Rainbow Dash's sudden reluctance toward the Wonderbolt, and what Zecora was telling Twilight, this point is an appropriate end to the story. Dash and Burn was a story that began with a stupid competition between Rainbow and Spike that brought the two closer, and it ends with a stupid competition between Rainbow Dash and Spike.
For followers of this story that were looking forward for the next update, sorry to begin 2016 on such a negative note, but at least it has a better ending than before.
I wasn't following the story, but I wanted to praise you for a classy let-down blogpost. It was good of you to stick with it for your fans as far as you did.
