Dungeons and Dragons I made an Oops. : ( · 5:57am Dec 31st, 2015
So today while i was off work and with my friends, I was playing Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition and all was going great today. We hit the point to where we could prestige and go into prestige classes. I chose to become a dragon rider from one of the off brand books the DM allowed, and by am I having fun with my juvenile Blue Dragon.
I myself am a Yuan-ti Ranger, Death knight. For those of you who may not know a death knight is a class of... warrior for lack of a better word that is revived or converted into an undead and has their soul bound to a weapon or armor in my case. A Yuan-ti is basically a snake person.
Now about today's session, so me and my party consisting of two samurai, a cleric of Palor, and an elf ranger (the only one who doesn't hate me for being a snake person) are trying to prep for a battle against the Order of the Red Hand. (Not really important) To prep we were to go on a quest to find magical artifacts that would help in the fight at their main base in the lair of the Dragon Queen Tiamat. If Rainbow Dash kicked this Dragon... well Sometimes the rainbow tastes you.
Now to find these artifacts we needed a guide who would take us to a sacred grove to begin the first leg of our journey. At this point We didn't hit prestige but the events to follow did. : ) Now we travel together to get to the guides place and I have a griffon at this time and I was in the shape of an elf ranger. When we get there it's a small hut and the DM is talking and describing what we see hear and smell. I think I hear the DM say I hear a cry for help after I rolled 28 on perception. So I (on my griffon mount) rush to the house and had my feathery companion kick down the door with my bow drawn and immediately shit happened. My griffon is attacked by two dogs and a man is running for a crossbow on the ground by the door.
I have my griffon attack both dogs killing one and injuring the other, while I double shot the man rolling two critical in a row, (but unconfirmed) so I did normal damage to him but still overkilled him by 20 something hit points. Now the other players were in such shock that I killed the guide along with the DM they didn't bother to stop me until it was done and over with. So after the killing happened in the session, I asked the DM if I could find the guide and low and behold the DM face palms saying, "You killed him, you dumbass."
I argued that he said I heard a cry for help, and he responded with the support of the group that that was something we heard ten minutes prior but chose to ignore at the time. Good job Servant of Palor. So, I am forever known in our group as not the team killing fucktard, but the guide killer. I don't even know how to feel about this. Granted I shouldn't be writing my fanfiction while playing but I had a burst of inspiration. To all of you who play Dungeons and Dragons don't play while writing fanfiction. It can lead to disaster for you and your party. On the bright side I got enough EXP from the kills to level the group up!

Times might be an issue though. We would most likely play during the late evenings here in Cali while you'll be hours ahead of us.
