Hey all!
So, quick little thing that I've wanted to get off my chest involving our (well, MY favorite) batpony:
Last fic, Stellar Touch, in my opinion, was... okay. I had written the clop scene first and, in my 'completely unbiased and objective opinion,' I actually thought it was REALLY nice. I think the problem was that I tainted it with a somewhat mediocre story surrounding it, and in hindsight, that makes me feel kinda bad, yo. It's not that it was a BAD story, no... but I really don't feel that was work I'm normally accustomed to producing, especially since I didn't specifically notate 'hey, I just wrote this in about a couple hours, take it with a grain of salt.' In reality, through observation of the comments, I felt that people who ALREADY know Stella and read it, liked it a lot, and those who were new to her character were a bit on the fence about her. Rereading, it kinda makes sense, honestly. For the initiated, in MBF,L, you all know her character very well, and this was highlighted in De-stressing. In retrospect, I felt that to new eyes, I made her seem rather... unappealing and quite cunty; not in a good way either. Granted, she was annoyed beyond all recognition, but I admittedly take the heat for making her less appealing.
I did have something I wanted to do to correct that, but she's had a bit too much time at the forefront right now... and I'd rather not inundate the site with story after story starring her, lest she get worn out. She needs to recharge her insult/vernacular base anyway. So, there won't be any major stories with her (i.e. her being THE star) for a good little while. However, I do intend to have her take minor/background/cameo roles in other of my works where it's called for. Her major story (full story) won't be out for a while anyway, and Stella's the type of pony where more than average concentrated exposure to her will kill someone.
So, just wanted to say that. To the newer people, Stella is NOT just some pony who rattles off curse words willy nilly and is in general, a cunt for the sake of being one. She actually is a rounded character as seen in my other fics, and she has her strengths and her flaws.

Well, if I were having a bad day like she'd had, my verbal communication would be nothing short of cold and seemingly heartless. I can completely understand why you made her so 'cunty' in the story. She had a spot basically stolen from her because someone of relation to that spot was a spoiled fucker, and then he rubbed it in her face. I honestly wouldn't of even made this apology, but that's me, because her situation was completely understandable, cliche or not. Also, I really like Stella. Really looking forward to seeing her, even if it's a cameo appearance, in your stories.
Can't wait to see what's coming in 2016!
