Updating sporadically for a while · 6:11pm Dec 24th, 2015
For the time being weekly updates are put on hold. I have the final chapter of Warmth in the Snow ready to be posted tomorrow, and chapter 10 of Finding Home ready for Saturday, but after that I don't know when I'm updating again. I do plan to keep writing, but I'm not going to hold myself to a weekly schedule, so updates will happen when they happen.
Last night my brother's roommates came home to find he wasn't breathing. The paramedics were able to get his heart going again but it was too late, and he died in the morning. A nurse was with him at the end, and she said he died painlessly.
For the time being I'm on my way to my mom's house to spend Christmas Eve with my family.
I'm so sorry to hear this happened. My condolences.

While of course this isn't what anyone wants for the holidays in a weird way I'm glad it's Christmas. My family's all together and most of us don't work, at least until tomorrow.
So all thing's considered I'm doing okay.
My condolences. Take as long as you need. This is a difficult time.
I don't know what to say, but take care of yourself and your family.

Thank you. With everything going on I haven't even had a chance to try writing something again, but I'm hoping I'll be able to keep focus when I do. Taking a break from writing would likely be more stressful for me, and especially now that the holidays are over I'm going to have more free time on my hands, which I'd prefer to fill with something productive.
