Haven't read A Long Life yet, but that sounds like a really neat bit of culture shock.

And would probably steal the spot-light if made part of the main story, so it sounds like perfect concept for a spin-off.

See, that's why I want to write this one, once it came up in A Long Life, just as a consequence of the narrative, it kind of kept being such a rich well that it was starting to distract from stuff.
