    An Intricate Response

    Dear FIMFic,

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? If you’re still around, I’m thinking you’ve probably gotten wind of a rather controversial topic posted by MrNumbers regarding the state of FimFiction’s story landscape. While I normally don’t do this sort of thing, An Intricate Disguise wrote a rather thought provoking response to it.

    Dear FIMFic,

So, it’s here. A movie I’ve been waiting anxiously for and secretly hoping it might not happen.

    5 Long Years

    Dear FIMFic,

So, I just realized it's been 5 years and 18 days since I wrote the final chapter to The Golden Armor. A lot of things have happened since then, but I can't really believe it. Things have changed so much in those years, but you all still are there and some may even still be waiting for more of it.

I guess maybe it's time I did something about that.

I have a question for all of you

    Dear FIMFic,

So, I've recently been trying to write new chapters to All That Glitters and Across The Universe, but a problem has kept coming up. Whenever I sit down to write, I get blocked by an idea buzzing around in my head. Some of you did enjoy my failed contest entry, From One Unicorn to Another, and I've suddenly had new ideas to further that story thread.

Star Wars! · 1:31am Dec 15th, 2015

Dear FIMFic,

So, the day has finally come that many of us were waiting for. Started a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, the greatest epic of our time began. Most of us probably grew up with it, watching the struggle of the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire play out. Whether you were for the Jedi and cheered Luke as he defeated his father in Return of the Jedi or allied with the Sith, chilled by the looming evil of Darth Sidious forging the Empire in the ashes of the Republic in Revenge of the Sith, we all were part of that galaxy.

Original trilogy or prequels, none of them matter today. Once midnight hits, the next chapter begins and the Star Wars saga continues.

Most people remember the excitement we had when we first heard the Star Wars theme play, when the first lightsaber powered on, the initial roar of the Millennium Falcon's engines and the slow, measured breathing of Darth Vader. Our world would never be the same, no matter what we eventually moved on to. Nothing would replace the magic of a galaxy that would go on to influence countless other universes.

So let's not lie about it any longer.

Star Wars is back.

And I, for one, am hyped to see it.

See you at the rendezvous, kid.

Regards,
C.B.

P.S. Stormtroopers are my favorite! What's your favorite character?

The Siths that are like Vader in general. There's just... something bad ass about a bad ass Sith warrior with a shred of honor.

Heheh. I ain't sure who my favorite character is honestly. either Anakin (pre Vader) Mace Windu...or Qui Gon...or Luke...also, I'm also hyped as shock to see this film just like you.

I GOT DAY ONE TICKET BABY!!! WHOOOOO!!!! Hey Angel, are you gonna go see this movie? *hugs her* if you sit with me so we can cuddle I'll take you with me!

What's your favorite character?

Your father.

Got me tickets for a midnight showing on Friday.

30 years have passed since the fall of the Empire, many things have changed but many things have stayed the same.

God, I love those guys too. Hopefully Kilo Ren will carry on the tradition.
3618848
The jealousy is real. All theatres here are sold out for two days.
3618925
So... you?
3618931
30 years is a long time to form the perfect plan for vengeance as well. The Empire will come back, and the Rebellion won't stop them this time.

3618951 It's looking like it so far.

3618951
No matter what, its going to be awesome

3618951 man I got lucky bro. I tell you this is LITERALLY how it happened.
the wednesday after the newest trailer had aired, and the day after it was reported on the news had got sold out, I used my phone at church to watch said new trailer, and I got EXCITED. then, I get a text from my UNCLE, who said his pastor bought TEN day one tickets for a 3:30 Pm showing, and asks if I wanted one. WELL, I'm thinking the obvious.

'I'D HAVE TO BE A COMPLETE DUMBASS TO PASS THIS UP' so I texted back that I'd take said ticket. and now, the time has finally come for me to go see it! Man I can NOT wait. and I'm gonna marathon ALL six films before I go to see this next one. just so I can be right in line with it. Heheheh!

Obi-wan is fav, in 4 and 6 he's a humorous bastard, and in the prequels he's that and a badass.

If not that than random rebel soldier #74 on episode 5, i like his beard.

3618990
Cinemark is actually doing a marathon on the day before, all seven

3618993
And we shall hear the cries of the "Tru Fans" come midnight Saturday for Star Wars is "Ruined Forever".... again. And it shall be glorious

True, though the Battle of Jakku did jack shit up, if the Grey squad story is cannon than X-2 and his shit all died, sullest was wiped. i just wonder where this New order came out of.

And comet, do you have Battlefront? i need people ti partner woth.

3618990 you lucky bastard.

3619000 I know. I read about that. but I don't have a cinemark theater here. plus, if I did, and even if I snagged a ticket to such a marathon event, well....basically I'd be sleeping all day just to be able to wake up in time to get ready and head out to said event.

3619036 wow, no need to be smug about it, that truly makes you a bastard.... Do you have battlefront?

My favorite character in Star Wars is the legendary Gonk Droid.

3619028
I would but I'm working, though I'm still going to make it to the midnight showing

3618990
Salty tears of jealousy will flow tonight. I wish I hadn't been so dumb and bought tickets the instant they went on sale.

It shall indeed.
3619007
The New Order is probably remnants of the Empire from the far edges, like Kamino or some planet from the prequels.

3619047 which one?

3619053 Heh. you're luckier than I am, considering you're going to midnight.

Kamino

*light bulb* or Geanosius, Mageeto, Falucia... Courasant? That word triggered my battlefront 2 play through, so possible it is.

My favorite character is General Grievous

3619081 he has my favorite design, but beside the clone wars series (saw all 6 seasons after MLP s. 4 finale[and a proud of it!]) he doesn't do jack shit,

3619081
He was indeed awesome.

Because comet didn't ask, WHAT IS EVERYONE'S FAVORITE STAR WARS MOVIE?

Mine is a tie between grim contrast great story "The Empire strikes back" and holy shit that is both awesome and jacked up "Revenge of the Sith"

3619113
Empire Strikes Back. Nothing will beat spending every day of summer vacation popping in the VHS and watching the siege of Hoth.

Also, thank you for asking. I did forget to mention that.

3619123 and i actually found every sceane with random soldier #74, the one with the cool beard, he is in 4, and gets shot in his third one, then reserected... I feel bad that I know this. Anyway, battle of Hoth is best part. But ties with Obi vs. Anakin in greatness. And VHS all da way!!!

The First Order is an interesting take on what things are going to be like going forward.

What they believe, why they believe it, and who's leading them.... I hope the things I've read are true. Gonna be a wild ride if they are.

I will probably get major flak for this but to be honest im not a massive fan of any of the characters. Dont get me wrong i am a fan of star war and enjoyed all 6 movies so far even though the prequels wernt the best. For me its the story as a whole, the setting, and the lore that interests me.

Jar Jar has been planning revenge for many years, yes.

Gonna be basic here and say Boba Fett. Seriously, is there any surprise he's so damn popular?

If that's too basic, I'll have to go with Captain Fordo. The Clone Wars cartoon was one of the things I watched as a kid, and I still can't stop taking inspiration from and fully admiring his whole squad's assault on Muunilinst in one of the episodes.

Best starfighter has to go to Anakin's modified Jedi Starfighter in the Clone Wars cartoon as well. Nothing can beat that bright blue color and big-ass jet engines.

Have fun :D

My hype tank is already full - I cannot contain any additional hype without upgrades.

Im in the stormtrooper camp as well and I have been doing a lot of battlefront and Empire at war lately so im super ready for this moive.

FOR THE REBEL ALLIANCE! Ps I'm going to see the movie at Downtown Disney!

Favorite character is tied between Kit Fisto or Boss from Republic Commando. I'm so excited, I'm going to the premier with a group of around 28 other people. I never thought this day would come that I would be able to see Star Wars come back like this.

I can't wait to see what's going to be done with the Galaxy now after all this time. For better or for worse, I'm still going to love it all.
