I just hit 2,000 views with A Lost Sunset?! Why are you people still reading this stuff?!
In all seriousness, thank you. I can't believe people actually like my stuff. Thank you so much.
So, in celebration of 2,000 views, I'm going to do a few fun facts of the story.
Fun Fact #1: The 'Into the Fire' chapter where Sunset fights Gilda and Lightning Dust had 3 different endings. My original ending had Lightning beat up Sunset and Celestia, Luna and Tree Hugger appear and save the day. The trio had called the police and an ambulance and...the ending was really grim sounding when I wrote it. That and in the timeline of the story, Sunset just got out of the hospital last week! So, I changed it. The other two endings were Rainbow saving the day.(The one ending I picked.) The other was just like the Rainbow one but...you won't believe who I picked to come save them: Flash Sentry.
Fun Fact #2: The 'The Fire Still Burns' chapter had a different ending as well. Originally, when Gilda hits Sunset, she loses consciousness for a second and sees her unicorn self. There, her unicorn self tells her to get up and fight, but, not because she needs to get up and save her friend but because she's Sunset Shimmer. That and her unicorn self kinda makes her turn into her od self for a bit. However, I felt it was too...against the main plot. I thought it went against the fact she can't remember who she is.
Fun Fact #3: The Non-Canon chapter was actually an entirely different chapter all together. It was supposed to be Sunset dreaming and there was a parody of the fish attorney scene from Lisa: The Painful RPG. Then, it would switch to her waking up in bed with unicorn Twilight. And Flash Sentry. However, my pre-reader said it was a little too random and I agreed.
Fun Fact #4: The chapter 'A Sparkle in your Step' is probably my favorite chapter so far. I had a random idea when I was writing the chapter before it and stuck the 'Twilight got the book ending' and...I don't know. Originally, I was going to have Celestia read it and try to go from there. But, my brain told me this was more interesting and as soon as I wrote it down, I instantly had the idea on how Twilight would have accidently got the book. I don't know how, but I definitely don't regret it, even though some of the readers have been against it. As for the chapter, after writing a cocky and very stubborn and very trust-paranoid Twilight in the 'The Rainboom Thieves', it was a ton of fun writing an innocent filly Twilight. I don't why, but I really enjoyed writing it.
