Battered, fried, tossed in the fire, yet the goose isn't cooked. (new image hosting) · 2:42pm Aug 14th, 2012

[Editor's---errr, author's note: same blog post as before, new image host so hopefully you all see it this time]

Current mood:

[picture done for me by Crystal]

I mentioned earlier that I was moving to take up a new job, and truth be told, I had about a week and a half that was really easy. I used to to learn the area, get over jetlag, practice the new language. I sat down and actually pinned part of a script for Pony In A Box. So, if you're fans of my work, put them on watch. I'll have an episode down the line, and then a lot more than just an episode. Anyways, I did the script for a warm up (dialog is easy for me to generate), and sat down to pen notes on the next chapter

Weeeeeellll, the business was in a bit of a manpower crisis, so as soon as everyone returned from summer vacation, I was sort of thrust into a crazy situation which involved a lot of on-the-fly training, a ton of performance pressure, and a need to absorb about 20 gigatons of information while using it the same day. In short .... See current mood.

I'd also like to state that my on going story Paradise is still not forgotten, and will never be. When I find my groove here, I think the job looks very promising for letting me work. Just ... bear with me a bit. I'll be making new Paradise as soon as the world stops appearing to be in fractal. I'm actually a little disappointed I had to take such a long break here. Chapter 15 and 16 were originally one chapter so I don't like breaking them up for so long.

Anyways, stay tuned. Same pony time, same pony channel.

BONUS IMAGE! (Madmax did this one for me, but we couldn't use it because Luna looked too young)

Of all the best things that could happen, this is the. best. POSSIBLE. THING! :raritystarry:

I was so sad when it seemed that story had been abandoned.

So i'm taking this as: More chapter are coming. I do have a question for you, Slywit. Will you be taking Paradise into Discord and Nightmare Moon era's?

Both those situations will figure into the plot.

Yes, I saw that he said that. My comment was a reaction to exactly what you quoted.

Moving... The bane of sanity and bringer to the edge of one's breaking point... :ajsleepy:

I feel for you, man... I just moved to a new place, and I still have to clear out the last of my stuff.
I am bruised, cut, strained, sore, numb, my entire back feels like pins and needles and I really don't even want to know what I toasted in my spine to make that happen, and I still have 11 shelves to move (from bookcases to display cabinets, to a few utility shelves), a big old console record player, 2 desks, an antique electronic organ (and I have 3, thanks to my fascination with vintage technology, not to mention I still have many boxes to move... and only 11 more days to get it all done by and clean up the old place...

SOB!!! When will it end!!! :pinkiecrazy::fluttercry::pinkiesad2::raritycry:

At least my job is the same... I... Wow... I miss Paradise... But don't explode twice rushing yourself!!! :pinkiegasp::moustache::facehoof:

For me it was less of the stuff and more of the adjustment. I pack light. Had to. The plane would allow only two boxes no more than 50 pounds and so I had trimmed down just about all my stuff to a box and a half (not too difficult to do, living as a college student for so long, and almost all my prized possessions are books, software, and friends). So, I had to adjust to jetlag, find out where I was going to grab my eats, find a routine that would support me, etc etc. Just as I do so, I get throne into a terribly stressful situation like Rainbow Dash off a see-saw into Twilight's house. Yet, I'm adjusting to that too.

I am feeling better this week. Some of the work load is becoming more stable and I found all my daily nutriants again. I broke ground the other day on Paradise, just a few hundred words, but that is the most difficult part of riding a horse, is that getting back on, especially when the horse is big like Paradise and you love it so much that you don't want to hurt it.

Oh, Celestia, please don't read that paragraph the wrong way.

329862 For me, it's the absolute opposite. I only moved 12 blocks away from my old home, and the move is proving to be a wonderful way to sort through my possessions and get rid of stuff I don't need, and keep things I do need or want. I'm the physically creative type. I like to build things. I have tools, a mill, a lathe, and things like that. I got rid of a bunch of scrap I knew I'd never use, and made $280 on Friday. It gives me a chance to re-organize in a manner that will allow me to better use what I do have. It also gives me a chance to figure out what parts of my personal possessions I want to put up on display. I am rather fond of my antique calculators.
Nothing says retro like the orange glow of nixie tubes!

It's still stressful, though. :twilightangry2:

Adding a deadline is even worse. :twilightoops:

I also have only 2 more days of electricity at the old place, so I had BETTER get a move on with clearing the basement out. Daylight is fine when you can open shades. Basements tend to be a bit dimmer. My absolute deadline is the 12th. I'm just glad to be moved into my new place finally! :twilightsheepish:

Also... for the first time in months, my entire MLP collection is under one roof! I am so doing the mega collection photo one of these days! :twilightblush:
