Not Sure What To Do · 8:15pm Nov 17th, 2015

The bed bug problem at this apartment has gotten really bad. We have tried everything we can to contain the problem, but we have had to throw out all of our rugs, a lot of furniture items, and even a great deal of our clothes. We also had to throw out our bed clothes and comforters along with all of our pillows.

Things are getting bad and we aren't getting much help from the apartment people. But we can't afford to move and our insurance doesn't cover this type of problem. We don't have the money to replace thousands of dollars of personal items lost from this whole disaster. We can't afford to replace all of the clothes we have lost. Hopefully, we will be able to get things contained in the long run. But for now, things are just a complete mess around here.

Everything we own is in some kind of plastic container or in our cars. We can only hope that the bugs haven't invested our cars while many of our personal items are being stored there. I have the greatest sympathies for people who have had to go through this. It really sucks. I know that I will be extra careful to check my clothes every time I go out in public from now on. You can literally get a bed bug from anywhere and bring it home. Make sure to check your clothes before you enter the house. They like to hang out anywhere that has cloth or wood like a restaurant, bus, movie theater, or anywhere out there in the world. That's my friendly tip of the day. Take the necessary precautions so you don't end up in the same predicament as me.

Oh my :facehoof:
It sounds really bad.....
I'm really sorry.... :fluttershysad:

3548431 Thank you for your comforting words. We are just doing our best to contain everything the best we can. The bug people are coming again to spray tomorrow. Hopefully this will help to get rid of the rest of the problem. We are staying optimistic that things will be resolved.

3548439 That sounds much better now! ^^
GO OPTIMISM! :yay:

3548450 Yes! Optimism gets you through the tough times in life. :pinkiehappy:

I'm sorry senpai. :fluttershysad: I pray that you will win in your war against the nasty bugs!

3548483 Thank you Little Taco! Keep sending positive thoughts and energy our way. Every little bit helps. :pinkiehappy:

3548495 You're welcome senpai! ^0^ I will send many positive thoughts to you. :rainbowkiss:

3548498 Thank you my friend! It is much appreciated.

3548503 You're welcome my friend.

3548504 Many hugs to you.

3548510 And many hugs to you too.

Do you have any Raid? I bet that'd work wonders.

3548552 We had a guy spray 14 days ago. And he is coming back tomorrow to spray again, so hopefully that will help with the problem. We've been spraying rubbing alcohol on everything as that helps to get rid of the bugs. We've also been spraying every type of poison you can think of daily into every nook and cranny of the apartment. So hopefully all of this will work together to get rid of the problem once and for all.

Have you tried your Boom Stick? :duck:
Have to lighten the mood somehow.

3548569 Truth be told, I'd like to take a flame thrower to this whole place and go to town. :rainbowlaugh:

3548597 Team Fortress knowledge is the best. Everything I've ever learned from life I've learned from video games. Also, the Google search bar. Or some random YouTube video. Or eh the internet in general. :P

Here's a comfort *hug* :pinkiesad2:

3548610 D'awww thank you. That means a lot. Many hugs to you as well, my friend.

So I'm gonna be honest with you, there's only one way to kill bed bugs actually.
So, I'm gonna be blatant and tell you bed bug spray does NOT work. Why? I've seen this shit a thousand times, that spray is cancerous and I would never let an exterminator use it on my house. Anyways, that's not the point. The point is a bed bug's worst enemy is heat actually. The only way to truly get rid of them is with heat. There are special companies that will literally fry your house with a gasoline heater that comes on a truck with huge ass heat pipes coming off it. They'll raise your house's temperature from 140-210 degrees Fahrenheit if I'm not mistaken. This will solve the problem once and for all.
Stop wasting your money on shitty treatments like chemicals, they don't work please listen to me.
Here's a video showing what happens:

3548707 That's a lot of icons. :rainbowlaugh:

3548723 Those are my emotions on a daily basis. (Not necessarily in that order every day)

3548721 Thank you for the great advice. I will look into some companies that can help do the treatment you recommended.

3548725 That is quite a wide range of emotions you've got there. :rainbowkiss:

3548745 Thank you for sharing those videos. Your advice has helped me out a lot. I appreciate it greatly.

3548749 I know! I'm so diverse. :rainbowkiss:

3548752 This is my emotion all day. ---> :pinkiecrazy:

3548767 That's my senpai for you. :rainbowkiss:

3548778 She's so crazy that she's adorably sane. :rainbowkiss:

3548779 Well that's one way of putting it. :derpytongue2:

3548855 Just wanna let you know, you NEED to get those plastic containers out of your car.
The bed bug's eggs are so tiny you can't see them, if they're in anything in that car, they're going to get into the car's fabric and come right back into your house, making you have to start over again, AND get a new car.

3548860 Or you could just say I am crazy. :pinkiecrazy:

3548885 The problem is that we have no where else to put things like our dishes and things that we can't keep inside of the house because of all of the poison. So the only place we have to store edible items and items we don't want to get subjected to poison is in our cars. The best we can do is just spray the crud out of our cars and heat treat the fabric in some way after we are able to bring everything back inside.

3548891 :pinkiehappy: We're all mad here. :pinkiecrazy:

3548902 Nothing wrong with that. :rainbowkiss:

3548912 Just as long as you know. :coolphoto:
