New Chapter of "Between Day and Night" is with my Editor · 10:03pm Nov 7th, 2015
Hi Everyone!
Just announcing that the new chapter for my long-quiet story is with our favourite creepy soul collector now and will be done when he is through with it.
I write this post for two reasons:
First: I want to apologize for how long the chapter took to write. A lot of stuff happened in my life. Some good, much bad and some completely hard to place yet. I wanted to write but I just didn't have the strength for the most time. Its a bit better now and I do want to finish this story. You guys are amazing readers and I hope you will enjoy the next chapter.
Second: Please do me this favour! Don't just post comments that say "This updated", "Finally", "Long time silent" or something akin to that on the story. Those make me feel really bad for taking so long. You can rip the writing apart all you want, I am grateful for input in that regard.
On an unrelated note: Is it just me or is the current season simply amazing? The writing is great, the characters have fun moments and the remember that Twilight is a massive nerd and Spike has a purpose other than getting humiliated constantly.
Yay!
Personally, I think that the writing has serious issues in quite a number of episodes of this season (especially Princess Spike, Brotherhooves Social, Crusaders of the Lost Mark), more than in previous seasons. Or maybe it's just me getting more nutpicky? Anyway, this is not supposed to mean that i don't like the season as a whole; it has a lot of brilliant episodes as well!
3537925 I like to call this season's issue "Amy Keeting Rogers and Dave Polsky" (Yes, the third one wasn't from them but bare with me).
Polsky has always written the weakest episodes in the series. The guy can be funny, but he doesn't do character driven stuff well. I don't hold grudges, but he is just out of his element when he is not writing random sillyness.
Rogers is (sadly) still writing season 1. All morals and little edge. I liked Canterlot Boutique, but even that one felt way too safe.
Not to put too much of a stress on those writers but they have to accept that the show moved on and is more than a morality play for little girls now. Just look at stuff like the seasons opener or "Amending Fences". Those were AMAZING!
