So as the title suggests this is a blog about the newly aired episode and the new cannon it introduced into the show. First off my opinions, very good episode! Finally we get some Diamond Tiara character development as well as a bit for Silver Spoon as well. The music was good but like Magical Mystery Cure I felt it could have been told better as a regular episode. That being said Diamond Tiara's voice actress has a beautiful singing voice.
As for the new cannon, Diamond Tiara's mother is now revealed as a new pony. And the CMC get their cutie marks. What does this mean for my fiction? Nothing really, Screwball will still be Diamond's biological mother and I already have planned individual marks for Scootaloo, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.
But as I stated I am very pleased with what went on in this episode and very happy for these new additions to the show cannon. My only concern is now that Diamond is "Reformed" that she wont be utilized as much anymore. Only time will tell. Any stories started after this point with these characters will adhere to MLP cannon.
I for one am glad you're not changing up the story. The show's direction took a massive shift towards doing their own headcanon for the CMC. No need for authors to bend over backwards to redo and re-imagine their works from scratch. Besides, the requirements for them to get those cutiemarks wouldn't make sense in the current context of universe since that conflict didn't come to pass since Bruce alters that future drastically.
That's my two bits anyhow.
Also, feels damn nice to see Diamond Tiara on every time I click now. Thank you Knighty!

This episode definitely is a game changer for any writer who planned on using the characters on how to handle what happened. Glad to see that you will stay the course with your story and go in the direction you desire!
