Hey folks! Well here's a quick update on what's been going on. For starters, I've got a fancy new Ponysona avatar, drawn by Colby Green, as usual. What do you think?
Meanwhile, the new chapter of "The Iron Horse" is coming along nicely. In fact, it's already written, though it's still in need of some editing (I already got some great feedback from GenerousGypsy, in fact!). Just the same, this might give me the chance to write another chapter and you might get a few updates in quick succession.
Other things...
Editing: Yep, to pay forward the kindness shown to me, I've taken on a few editing jobs. First of all, I'm helping a nice, young writer by the name of misskoifishpony with a fic of hers. She does a lot of Fluttercord (which I will forgive her for, despite Celesticord being obviously better 
), but this latest story is nice little story about Fluttershy and the teenage dragon Garble in the general "Kill 'Em With Kindness" vein of things. My contributions aren't much, mainly helping with proofing and clarity and such. If you care to read it, feel free:
I'm also working with author Lise Eclaire on her story called "When the Airships Came." I don't recommend reading it JUST yet, as we're doing a lot of heavy edits on that one. The story has a really interesting and adrenaline-filled opening that sucked me in, but it got bogged down in quite a lot of errors and awkwardness, so I offered to help her fix it up. I'll let y'all know when it's ready. 
Acting: Well, more like "auditioning." Recently, one of my favorite YouTube channels, Mystery Brony Theater 4000 (an homage to my favorite TV show of all time, "Mystery Science Theater 3000"), put out a call for a new 4th cast member. I decided to answer the call and auditioned for the part. I got to meet the guys on Skype and we watched a bizarre little 10-minute episode of a show called "Theodore Tugboat." They were pretty funny and I managed to make them laugh a few times, so at least I didn't totally choke. I had a lot of fun, although I don't know if I got the part or not yet. Even if not, as I said, it was fun and a neat experience nonetheless.
Green and I are both fans of the show. They riff on older MLP Generation stuff and make you appreciate how good we have things nowadays. If you're curious, here's their Season 1 finale in which they make fun of the atrocious Generation 3 movie "The Runaway Rainbow" (some salty language, but who doesn't like a little salt?):
