I've been dying to write a Intermission-style chapter for some time now! It's just never come to me until I started reminiscing on a scenario that occurred when I was with my ArmA 3 unit.

Sit down kids, it's story time.

The time is roughly 1400 hours as a Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit takes off from the Altis Commercial Airfield, which was commandeered for use by the USAF Special Operations Command. Its payload is eight nuclear fission bombs, the target was a enemy controlled settlement probably about seven clicks out. Of course by this point you can already see the problem, but that's okay, it was a screw around operation. As we reached the target area my CO, whom I called "Sauli" ordered me to open the bay doors, then finally to drop one bomb.

I did so, and that day we became Death, Destroyer of Worlds.

But that's irrelevant; we weren't high enough. That shit detonated, and although we weren't caught in the blast, our bomber did suffer from the EMP effect of the bomb. We lost all power and couldn't turn the engine back on, luckily for us we probably had enough altitude to get to a safe landing zone. For safety reasons I decided to close the bomb bay doors, now here's were shit really hits the fan. At the time I was still use to the ArmA 2 scroll menu controls; where clicking would select the option. I left clicked while "close bay doors" was selected, of course to no effect. It was only after clicking it several times and Sauli screaming that I noticed i'd just dropped most of our remaining payload.

And that was the day I sent a chunk of Altis, my entire unit, the server, and myself to Hell.

Anyway, go read the new chapter here!
