Wait, it's not Nightmare Night/Halloween yet0-0 Well, folks, apparently iTunes has apparently had a early release of "Scare Master" this week. Even though this episode was suppose to premier around or on Halloween. Looks like Hasbro or iTunes had a little derp day;) Anyway, due to my cat-like curiosity, I watched the episode before it's actual premier date:) Le gasp!:0 Haha lol;)!
But c'mon you guys, this episode was about Fluttershy and Nightmare Night.( In case if you didn't know, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays). I couldn't resist, even if I tried. Because of this and that I'll be busy on Halloween, I'm going to review this sucker early:) Which means, my review of the new episode this Saturday will be posted Sunday. In terms of reviewing Equestria Girls 3(also premiering this Saturday), it will be posted early because...it's going to be a collab review:D
Alright, let's to the review shall we: WARNING! IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SPOILED, DON'T READ WHAT'S BELOW
This episode is about Fluttershy finally deciding to join the Mane Five and Spike on Nightmare Night, and she did it in order to make her friends happy:3 Daww! Fluttershy, baby!
And Rarity is in this episode! Unlike Luna Eclipsed, our favorite marshmallow horse finally gets to show off her love for costumes and joins in for Nightmare Night:D And she is....a mermaid. Huh. I was expecting something else, but her costume was cute:) I liked the joke that came with it though, whenever she turned around, the tail part would slap somepony in the face. Lol!
In terms of the costumes for the other characters, Spike wore a funny but cute two headed dragon costume. Which, oddly enough, reminded me of the two headed dragon from "The Quest for Camelot"...only cuter.
Pinkie's costume had to be one of my favorites:D It was sooo her and sooo stinkin cute!:3

Although, there's great combination for best costume in this episode. Rainbow pretty much dresses up like Buzz Lightyear...Buzz Lightyear!:D How awesome is that?!

Then, we get a background pony dressing up as Sailor Moon:D <3 (Along with a drawn cut out board of Sailor Moon at Fluttershy's scary tea party)
(Of course I watched Sailor Moon, who didn't?)
But then, Derpy claimed victory in the Best Costume category and as my number one favorite costume...she dressed up as Alicorn Princess Twilight!:D HAHA LOL SO HARD! That's just too amazing!
Alright, enough about costumes. Let's get to the meat of this episode:) And this episode certainly had a lot to deliver in terms of this category in my opinion.
Of course, Flutterbat showed up in this episode;) It took awhile for Flutterbat to show up, but she did:) But Flutterbat was actually just Fluttershy's costume (which looked awesome on her and tis one of my favorites of course;)) But what made Flutterbat interesting in this episode was how Fluttershy's friends reacted to Flutterbat. When Rarity was going through costume options for Fluttershy, she immediately dismissed the vampire fruit bat costume and said "Ew! No."(or something like that). Then, when Flutterbat showed up at the end of the episode, the Mane Five and especially Applejack were petrified of her presence. Something tells me that her friends are pretty much scarred by the Flutterbat experience, especially Applejack. Which I can understand for Applejack because her desire to get rid of the vampire fruit bats unfortunately lead down to the even that her own friend became a vampire fruit bat. I wonder if Fluttershy still worries about that experience or worries for her friends in terms of their trauma from the experience. Either way, The Bats! episode left an impact.
Another really interesting part was Fluttershy and how she dealt with her overall fear of Nightmare Night. With each new Nightmare Night activity to do with her friends, Fluttershy would give reasons and explanations why she can't fully participate in each new Nightmare Night activity. First, when Rarity was helping Fluttershy finding a costume, Rarity suggested that her friend to put on a masquerade mask with a black dress. But Fluttershy told her that she doesn't want to wear the mask because she can't see what is to the left and right of her, and she needs to fully see her surroundings in order to prepare for the scary surprises hiding in the night. Then, when her friends ask her to participate in the bobbing for apples game, Fluttershy says that she doesn't want to do it because she's afraid of something sneaking up behind her while dunking her head in the water. Lastly, when Pinkie Pie was handing out bags of candies to every pony, Fluttershy said that she couldn't take it because she's afraid that the laffy pieces will clog up her throat so that she can't scream for help when something scary pops up. But she's also afraid of something popping out of the bag.
Now, some viewers would see these events as annoying instances of Fluttershy's over exaggerated fears and anxieties. But to me, this becomes a very relatable episode for people with anxiety disorders and autism. To people under these conditions, Halloween can be a stressful experience because this holiday presents situations that makes them hard to prepare for. I don't know much in terms of the experiences of people with anxieties, but I know a lot in terms of the experiences of people with autism and their perspective on Halloween. Children with autism are afraid of wearing masks because it blocks some of their vision and most of them rely on vision in order to understand their surroundings, the exaggerated looks of the masks can be terrifying looking to them, and they are not use to wearing things on their face. Children with autism don't like receiving food that they are not use to eating or food not provided by people they know, they can be very picky and they have great anxieties on where the food/candy came from. They also don't like the concept of not knowing and not having a clear schedule on what will happen next, which means, having random people popping up to scare them isn't fun experience for them. But rather, it can trigger a state of panic. And I'm sure people with anxieties can relate to these reasons and experiences as well, but in a different light of course.
My point is, Fluttershy almost gave an accurate and clear picture of what Halloween is like for people with anxieties and autism. There were great similarities between what she displayed in the episode and all the reasons and instances I stated above. And in the end of the episode, Fluttershy tells her friends that she will not be celebrating Nightmare Night for now on because not only did she not like the feeling of scaring others and her friends, but also the fact that this holiday isn't really her cup of tea. But she isn't scared of the holiday anymore. Even though she acknowledges that her conditions like anxiety disorders and autism, will hold her from ever enjoying this holiday, she is however embracing the fact that this holiday will not be one of great sources of fear aka fuel for her condition. She is improving, and accepting of her own conditions. There's perks and flaws of her own condition and self, and she knows herself better now. Even though there are people with autism and anxiety that have prevailed through obstacles and learn to deeply enjoy Halloween, however there are still some people with autism and anxiety that don't celebrate Halloween because their condition is so severe. But that doesn't mean that they can't have fun in their own way on this day, just like Fluttershy at the end of this episode. They can still acknowledge that there are things that they will never like, but it's okay because they have other interests and family & friends that love them. Fluttershy even points out in the episode that she can still enjoy other activities and days with her friends, but just not Halloween, and they were very accepting of this and patient with Fluttershy throughout the episode.
Overall, this episode serves as a hopeful message for people with severe anxieties, fears, and autism. I give this episode a strong 8.5 out of ten hearts<3
Is it just me or was anyone expecting Discord to pop up in this episode? I think it was just me because I want a Discord to have fun celebrating Nightmare Night/Discord helping Fluttershy enjoy Nightmare Night with him episode. That was the only thing that disappointed me about this episode, maybe it's the Fluttercord shipper in me or something.

Haha lol loved the Yakko appearance, the Stars Wars joke, the Dislestia Shippers joke, Angel Bunny talking at the end, and the overall joke about merpony/seapony OCs;) I especially laughed at when you started listing off all the reasons why I could be upset:D Haha lol Little Merpony reenactment, people not liking my story, and Equestrian Girls version of our OCs(now I want a story about this now0-0 I'm curious on what our OCs would look like as humans)!

I think you would look great in a moth costume. I think it looks great. I don't think i am dressing up for Halloween. If i was, i would be the Reverse Flash. I think a Misskoifish cosplayer would have wavy hair, a mermaid tail (Bonus points if it has the scale cutie mark) and probably a shirt matching your color scheme.
Well, let me answer the giant owl question.
When i was a small, i would often visit my grandparents often. They had a basement that i would be too scared to walk downstairs. Someone joked that a giant owl lived downstairs and i had this fear of a large giant owl swooping down to grab me and take me back to it's nest to eat me.
The Star Wars joke was added in because i didn't want to keep using the Foaming Mouth guy from Avatar once more. Also glad that you took the joke well.
I don't know what you would look like as an OC human, but i would look just as good as you do. I wished you would have said something eariler about wanting an OC Equestria Girls story, i am making an MLP/We Bare Bears as a one-shot Christmas Special. Probably will do that OC Equestria Girls story next year.

Is Fluttershy autistic in your headcanon? She doesn't strike me as such- I see her more as someone who suffers from avoidance issues and perhaps an anxiety disorder.
As for your moth costume, I approve! I love moths! Moths are awesome! Go moths! I'm not biased at all....ahem.
