House Keeping
As a special treat this week we're getting three updates! I just launched Chapter 5 of Three of Diamonds so that it will sync up properly with Secrets of a Royal Guard. I want to show why Sunny showed up the way she did before I resolve it :D

Silent Knight, what is it about unicorns that attracts you? Is it the horn, or the magic, or something else? Do you just find Canterlot mannerisms attractive, or do unicorns from other places catch your eye as well?
I suppose a large part of it has to be my continued presence around them. I've been in Canterlot ever since I started looking at mares. I like that they're petite and delicate. They really look like mares I guess. Royal guard mares tend to be big like me. Pegasus mares too to some extent. It certainly isn't the magic though. I'm still not sure I trust it.

Silent Knight, Have any crystal ponies joined the palace guard or been stationed in Canterlot? If they have does the huge gap of time they were gone lead to any interesting misunderstandings?
We do have some crystal ponies stationed in Canterlot. Not a whole lot as of yet though. I haven't seen one in the palace but that doesn't really mean much. There are a lot more palace guards than I see on a daily basis. The royal guard has largely kept misunderstandings to a minimum through a large effort to help "catch them up" to modern times. Every crystal pony that was previously in service that wishes to remain in service goes through a few courses.
Most of the misunderstandings come from a lack of shared historical point of view. What is "old news" to ponies in Canterlot is still many years in the future to our crystal cousins. They are, however, highly adaptable and seem to be coming along just fine. One of their little jokes is that they count all the time missing in their age. Suffice to say, we now have some really old guards who have a ton of years of service.

No, not really. I've always been kind of small so I never really did too many sports growing up. I did track though. I'm pretty good at sprints. Getting through the royal guard fitness tests was tough but I did it! That is kind of like sports. Is something wrong with your eye? It keeps winking at me!

Not seeing the update to Diamonds in my bookshelves, looks like the update bugged. I'm seeing it in my fee and of course the heads up from this blog post, so that should be enough to let people know. Normally I advise a blog post to get the word out when that happens, but that part is already covered.
