M' wife is due on September 16th. Today she had her week 38 checkup...she was 2cm dilated last week, 3cm this week. Means when the time comes, it'll happen much quicker than most first deliveries...as in, instead of the apx. 8 hours of active labour or so, I might not get her there in the just over an hour drive to the hospital. Oh man.... 
At least the new washer and dryer got here today, before the little one made a grand entrance. I've been made to understand those will be necessary to have in the house, as running to a laundromat frequently might not be possible, and in case of diaper overflow (which apparently happens more often than I really wanna think about right now) and needing to wash; that is not something to let sit and dry before washing.
I was intending to post when the contractions begin, but in case that's not feasible, well...I'll just have to post things afterwards.
Heaven help us all; I'm about to be a dad. 
Kids! So impatient these days!
