Me and Midnightsotherother have come to the wonderful Idea of creating a Voice acted adaptation of The Chase.........
Ya.........
There are a lot of characters with speaking roles............
And because of this..........
We need you for this amazing project.
But this will be a huge undertaking.....
I am honestly a little scared, but I think I can do it with your help.

As of the moment we are creating the Docs/Folders/Sub-Folders for this project. Give it time, and get your voice recording equipment ready for this.
From the top of my head we will need around 50 + actors.
To submit an audition to join the VA team, email a link to an audio file containing you speaking a bit of monologue for each character that you would consider yourself to be a good voice for with a subject title of ‘CHASE VA PROJECT VA’ to midnightmuse.mlp@gmail.com or writtensound17@gmail.com
~please say who you are acting for before you start the monologue for each character, and include them, in the same order, in a list in the body of the email.
~Higher quality recordings have a higher chance of getting chosen than lower quality ones.

I have no quality recording device and slightly above BORK level Swedish accent (not really, most people it sounds genuine but an English friend has told me it is noticeable)
It sure sounds fun but golly gee, I think I would go hide under my desk in embarrassment at the prospect of people listening to me trying at voice act seriously.

I'm definitely interested, as I've been saving money for a while to turn my spare bedroom into a studio. However, I'm still waiting on my rent rebate before I can afford my equipment. This being a pretty fresh project, I'm sure there's still a lot to do, but do you have any timeframe in which you're expecting auditions in by?

I like were this is going n.n. im just a half way over in reading it myself and its hard to stop. Only reason im not reading right now is im tired and have to get some sleep at some point xD. ive found i really love the characters even more now and at time when i read it i really wish there was something I could do to help out or just say to make them feel better... Eh sorry for the mush i guess i just really wish i could be part of the family xD

I've been a huge fan of The Chase, and most of Kudzu's work, for quite a while (I think I started reading The Chase back when he was in the 200's?) and this would definitely be an awesome project to be a part of. If there is anything else that you might need help with on this project I would be more than willing to help out, assuming its in my power to do so.

3283716 That's already a few main characters down huh? If I sent my audition now, just using my basic computer mic, and then again later with my new equipment, would that be suitable? I want to make sure the character I want isn't cast before I get a chance to audition.
3284015 Honestly, the better the recording quality, the better chance you have of getting the character you are auditioning for.
3284192 Right, I'm just afraid that the part I want will be gone before my studio is ready, which won't be until late August, early September. My MacBook's internal microphone isn't bad, so I don't think the quality will necessarily be trash, but it's not going to be studio quality either.
So I guess my question is, could I send my audition with the equipment I have now, so that you have an idea of how my voice sounds and all that? Then later, when my studio is set up, I could send another audition so you can compare the audio quality, see if I'm still someone to consider?
3284213 Ya go for it, I will edit out any static in the recording so that we can get a better quality. Also depending on the character and how many people audition for him/her, you should be fine as of the moment.
Remember though, have several different recordings labeled with the (character name) and the (Emotion) or (scene)

The character I'm mainly auditioning for is Rising Star, and being a major character, I didn't want to wait too long to audition. So I'm glad this works out.

Has this been advertised anywhere on YouTube? It might increase the number of people looking to actually get in on the project. I'd be willing to help put a decent video together to advertise (despite my utter lack of experience in doing such a thing), and I'm also interested in offering my own voice acting talent to the mix. I think it would help if there were a full list available to the general public, describing characters, their descriptions, and what is expected of their voice. (If there's one available, link me plz?)
