    Cadance Story Final Update

I just typed the words, "The End" on a story I have been writing since last June. It's 103,000 words long and I feel like I just finished a marathon. As soon as I do my final edits and adjustments with my editor, I will be posting a chapter per week until the full book is up on the site. 100k is a lot of words, so releasing it in bite size pieces makes the most sense to me.

    Cadance Story When?

I can't believe my last blog post about my Cadance novel was last September :twilightoops:

Well I'm now 60k words deep in it and still going. I'm not writing very fast, but I like the way it's going. I've picked up the pace lately so I'm looking to have it done... soon. Lol

    Loveless Lovechild Revision Incoming

My latest short story Loveless Lovechild is good but I feel it's a bit undercooked. I need to expand the 2nd and 3rd act of the story and develop the relationships of the characters more fully. This change will probably add about 3k words to the final product and it will make the climax less awkward and more well deserved (narratively). :twilightoops: :twilightblush:

    The Trial of Princes Celestia

I have a new story out!

This one I finished in one go. It's in 3 parts and I'll drop a new part each week. Now that I'm done with this one, I can go back to writing Sunset's story: The First Equestria Girl.

Binding Contract Updates! · 4:33pm Jul 19th, 2015

**For those of you currently reading my story "The Binding Contract"**

There will be some changes made to the work. Nothing is really changing story wise so you don't have to go back and reread if you're worried about missing things. I will, however, be changing the perspective of the story from being in the now to being told in retrospect. So instead of Twilight Velvet and Night Light talking about school as it is happening to them right now, they will be remembering it from their adult lives.

This edit will be a pain in the a:flutterrage: but worth it. The tense in this story is all over the place and I am just not skilled enough to fix it as is and keep the present tense, first person perspective. So I will be changing everything to past tense, first person so that it all lines up properly.

I have seen the tense issue since the beginning but I was resistant to changing it because I loved how dynamic and active it felt when things were happening right now instead of in the past. However, I can no longer ignore the issues it is creating and if I want to get better as a writer, these things are going to have to get better with me. The first chapter will be the hardest to change, but once I get a flow of it I think I'll be able to switch everything over fairly quickly.

There will also be fixes done to the paragraph formatting and the placement of dialogue in those paragraphs. The chapters will look very different in their formatting now, but the story and characters will remain the same. If you want to go back and read the changes after I make them, I invite you to but it is not necessary to understand the story so far. You will, however, want to have read this blog to be aware of the format and tense/perspective changes going forward as it will obviously be applied to future chapters as well.

Thanks for reading guys! I hope you continue to enjoy these stories!

Stay classy, sugarcubes
