I'm still working on editing Chapter 1 when I can, but I've also been catching up on the new Season, which has given me some ideas.
There have been a couple things that have appeared in the North of Equestria that are going to need attention in the story. Good news is that it'll improve things instead of causing detriment them. There'll be a couple hurdles, but I think the inclusion of Yakyakistan (and some elements of the premiere) will be beneficial to the story. I may, however, have to take a little liberty with where exactly it's located. I mean, this map puts it in the Northwest, but we all know countries with the suffix 'stan' are located in the east.
Hopefully I can get through all this mess as soon as possible and get to writing more chapters for this shindig.
Given the fact that Fo:E was written before the end of Season 2, Yakyakistan and the Crystal Empire and most of everything that appeared beyond Season 2 episode 1 may or may not even exist. You're better off cherry-picking whatever the new MLP seasons give you, otherwise, you'll be rewriting your story every season.
3248354 I am actually cherrypicking here. I'm also taking into mind what could and couldn't have. I'm simply saying I can use this stuff. Yakyakistan wouldn't have just appeared after Season 2, so I can quite easily justify using it. I'll avoid actually using the Crystal Empire, though I will mention its existence.
As far as Starlight's village goes, I obviously won't talk about it as though it occurred as it did in Season 5, but I can use the actual village, or those tunnels, or mention her being a problem in the war.
I'm touching this stuff because I want to.
