The Influence of Music

I'm a man who loves his music and it's often a large part of my creative process, whether a direct influence or something to keep me pumped while sitting there for hours. For Emergence, I'm getting both cases, with ideas for characters and factions inspired by songs or genres I've been listening to lately. It could have other influences, too, though that's all it's manifested as at this time.

I've even considered throwing a name of a song in the author's notes at the end of chapters that I'd been listening to, particularly if there was a song that influenced something in that chapter quite a bit. That said, readers would probably be thrown off by my dramatically changing choices in music. Lordi one chapter, Tchaikovsky in the next, then Daft Punk, ELO, Rainbow, something Disney or something by Glaze, remixed by TLT, rapped over the top of by Mic and then turned in to a symphonic metal symphony by The L-Train.
