Season 5 Interference · 7:38am Jul 18th, 2015
I'm still working on editing Chapter 1 when I can, but I've also been catching up on the new Season, which has given me some ideas.
A Biography? On me? Well, I'm an Aussie with a few skills. Most know my art. Some know my voice acting. I'd like to think I'm okay at writing, too. So I'm here to put that to the test!

While I may have been slacking off from writing, I've been working on art in the mean time - namely this commission piece for NobbleyKyle for his story Fallout Equestria: Dirty Deeds.

Alrighty. You may have noticed that I haven't updated Emergence in a good while. Is the story dead? NOOOO, certainly not! I'm just a busy man who needs to get his crap together.
So, now that my pre-tertiary education is over and I can look at other things in my life, let's see what's on the list:
-Finish my art commission for NobbleyKyle's story 'Dirty Deeds' that I need to get up to date on.
I sent in Emergence to EQD and it was marked as inappropriate for posting. I'm neither disappointed, nor surprised, I was expecting this.
Though I'm not glad it got rejected, I'm glad about what I got back as a result.
Essentially what they said was that it felt a bit rushed with descriptions and with comfort for violence. The rules that allowed stories with the same and more violence (particularly early on) have changed.
I'm a man who loves his music and it's often a large part of my creative process, whether a direct influence or something to keep me pumped while sitting there for hours. For Emergence, I'm getting both cases, with ideas for characters and factions inspired by songs or genres I've been listening to lately. It could have other influences, too, though that's all it's manifested as at this time.
A friend picked me up on a habit I have while writing recently. I almost exclusively say 'in to' when I mean to write 'into'. I generally find myself to write slowly, but what I do write doesn't oft require much editing. This little mistake bothers me to no end, however, as I finish up what I've written in a sitting and 'find' all the 'in to's to discover that there are tons of them. I seem to be completely unaware of this. It's such a little thing and, luckily, it's so easily fixed! So I can
Hello there, faithful readers! I'm really not generally a huge writer - I'm more known for my art and voice acting - but while Friendship is Magic didn't really inspire me to write fanfics of it in and of itself, I was inspired by Fallout: Equestria. Yeah, yeah, not another one of those. Well I'm having fun with it and the general consensus I'm getting is that Emergence is fun and non-clichéd, so there is that!
