[To All] Story Updates and other News [Recommended Read] · 5:52am Jul 16th, 2015
Good evening, all,
I know it hasn't been that long since my last status update but there's some important things I'd like to get to. Most of my main work will be touched on here so if you like, you can read it all, or only the parts that concern you. So, let's skip the fluff and get right into it:
Announcement Box.
On my User Page, in place of the 'chapter updates/request status' box, I've added a general 'announcement/news' box. This little box will be updated with fair frequency, detailing anything that has to do with my or related stories. So, status updates, general news on potentially upcoming works, etc. Of course, the blogs will have much better information on specific blog-worthy events but that'll just be a TL;DR version of it all.
Equis: Interlude Delay and Equis II: Duality.
A few of you know from a blog post detailed yesterday that due to technical difficulties, Equis: Interlude updates will be delayed for an undetermined amount of time. Unfortunate, but that's the way that life goes... here's to a speedy, painless resolution to that on Tatsurou's part. However, a couple have been asking what this means for Equis II. Naturally, Duality comes after the Interlude and with this delay, would this mean that Equis II will be delayed in release as well? Will it be released sooner?
My answer to both of those questions is 'no' and 'no.' I had a rough estimate of when I'd be releasing the story in terms of a time, and from the current progress of the Interlude, I'm not too worried in all honesty. Things will continue as normal: chapters will be backlogged for the impending publishing. If this delay happens to turn from 'days' or 'weeks' into 'months,' then I will make appropriate concessions on the release time. What this will mean for the Interlude will remain to be seen but we'll cross this hurdle when we get to it. I'll keep you all posted on that as I have more information available. As of right now, consider Equis II on schedule. I will let you know when to expect a publishing of the story.
Lighten Up! and Equestrian Politics.
Alright, time to address some stuff that's LONG LONG LONG overdue: my first two stories ever on this site. Lighten Up! was the first major story I ever wrote (with the exception of one other that solely on Fanfiction.net, and I refuse to return to it), and in looking back over the last three and a half years, I'm shocked as to how much progress I've made as a writer. What I mean by that, is that, I reread all of Lighten Up! and what I have of Equestrian Politics... and good god I personally think it is very poorly written and conceived in haste (the premise is solid)... but that's what happens when you're excited about something, eh? The author's here are all a little bit guilty of that. I have stated my interest of rewriting Equestrian Politics, but in order to do that, a rewrite of Lighten Up!, it's foundation and prequel, is absolutely necessary. A question or two recently about that is piquing my interest once more, and I think it's about time that Lighten Up! gets some long overdue tune-ups.
Thus, I'm announcing a SUBSTANTIAL rewrite of this story. No estimate as to when anything will be published, but I've already drawn up some stuff: it will follow an identical path that it currently has, but with a few notable differences: it will be longer, it will be more meticulously planned out, much more realistic, and updated to my current standards of writing. More on this will follow.

Everything is A-Okay for this story and it's progressing nicely. In fact, I'm writing for it currently. Though, I'm quite honored and humbled that about 1530 of you don't think it's entirely shit, so that's something! I'm hoping to have Part XVI finished within the next few days, so be on the lookout for that!
Various Side Projects.
All current side project stories are stalled as of right now, unfortunately, with greater attention needed elsewhere, above all. These are very minor in audience, so I'm sure most won't mind too much.
