I only found out (Read: I actually looked it up!) a few days ago that three years ago today I created this account. If you just want to hear the new stuff and announcements, and not read a big, boring story of how I got this far, feel free to skip to after the second horizontal line.
I never thought that when I created it that I'd do anything more than read stories for a few months. Well, after a year of doing just that, I decided to write something myself.
Over most of the second year, I planned, wrote, and released Apples, Tanks, N' Badflanks, the fic I'm most happy with. As well, I wrote, edited and released Discord's Final Betrayal in under three hours in May. ATNB (that title is such a mouthful!) didn't get much fanfare, likely because I'd just decided to release it all in one go at some ungodly hour instead of spacing out chapters at a proper time of day, while DFB (What's with me and weird titles, eh?) seemed to have several times its popularity, likely just because of how topical it was at the time.
In the second half of 2014, I wrote and seemingly abandoned a sequel to ATNB, Nightmares, Necromorphs N7 Spectres, simply shortened to NNN7S. I'm still slowly plugging away, but I've not really got much progress to show since about this time last year. It's not dead though, and I may have something soon for it. I also wrote little things here or there for a few of the shipping collab stories, most notably the Twilestia, Twiluna and even the Princest one. I'm still writing for at least the Twilestia one, but the other two seemed to have died in that time.
Now, in the last seven or so months, I've released three more stories. One is a simple collection of the prompts I've written for the various collab stories, so if anyone wants to read just them for some reason, they can (and so I can keep track of them myself, I sometimes forget)! The various little prompts have kept me writing regularly, so I've not let my skills wither. They've also given me a chance to practice on various little experiments like perspective, style, and all that jazz.
Another oneshot got released, Batnapped. It did surprisingly well, all things considered. The idea struck, I knocked it out inside three days, and it was up. The final story to be released was Troubleshooters: Tia and Twily. It's a set of Twilestia Collab prompts that have spawned their own universe inside my head, much like ATNB and NNN7S did. They're not related to this one, but the universe is there all the same.
Which brings me to my final statement. Troubleshooters, on account of it being an anniversary, will get two updates. Prompt #2, Bold, is rewritten and ready to be posted. Shift will be ready later on today and will be posted when it is complete. I actually also just posted an update to the Hot Shots story, as well, from the Power Armor prompt I took last week.
There are a few other little things coming down the pipe, but nothing worth mentioning in detail quite yet.
Thanks for hearing me ramble, guys and gals. It's been a great three years, and I'm hoping for even more fun times down the road.
