Hey all!
Now I do have plans for Sunset Shimmer, similar to the canon story but nothing to do with Equestria Girls, and she did well in her redemption story, I believe.
But would it be pushing it to give her her own Element of Harmony?
In my story, I have confirmed Cheese Sandwich to be the last bearer of the new Elements, and finally gathered my Harmonic Twelve: Twilight Sparkle, Midnight Blaze, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Big Macintosh, Rainbow Dash, Thunderlane, Rarity, Fluttershy, Blueblood, Soarin, and Cheese Sandwich.
The guys will all have their own Elements (to be revealed in due time) but would a thirteenth element be pushing things too far, and giving it to Sunset for that matter?
I'm just entertaining the notion, mind you, but I wouldn't mind a second opinion.
I find it rather interesting, as it would give Sunset some more reason to show up and maybe bury the hatchet between her and Midnight. Take it from someone who's held grudges, it's no fun. Besides that, It's a fun idea and besides, you can never have too many heroes. Go for it and go strong.

Element of forgiveness or redemption would be good. of course you could also have fun with her being the 13th and all of the non-sense that eris could bring out due to the number 13 etc.
That sounds like a good idea. But I feel like the whole Sunset element bearer has been play to death with this fandom. (In my opinion) So here's a suggestion (it's up to you if you consider it) Since the guys are becoming element bearers, in a sense they "technically" aren't Guardians of harmony anymore. So what if when Sunset is reformed she becomes a guardian for two elements(Magic and Faith). Dedicated to learning from and protecting their assigned elements. With five more ponies joining sooner or later. Each being a guardian of two elements. It's an idea. Either way Sunset becoming an bearer is a good concept as well. Just depends on how you write it.
3218637 Just because the guys get their own elements duzent mean they stop being guardians - Why do u think Big Mac and Blueblood got armor and helmets when they ignited the sparks of Devotion and Sincerity?
They protect their mares, Fluttershy and Rarity, respectively
The mares in turn are more like supporters of their stallions and their elements, and serve as a reason for them to keep moving forward and never give up

It was mostly speculation on my part. Thanks for clarifying it for me.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Sunset getting her own element. Maybe later if she were to reform and get a stallion of her own, but with Flash dead, I don't see that happening (I know there was no love in the movie, but still that is the only past relationship we have seen). But if she doesn't get a stallion (or mare) I don't really see the point in her getting her own element. Rainbow powers, I could see her getting that or becoming a unique Alicorn, as shown in that special song clip.
Ah like it!! It would be cool!
