Explainations (and fireworks) · 12:32pm Jul 7th, 2015
So, I recently got a PM in which it was pointed out that I've been slow in writing recently. Instead of typing out a huge wall of text, I'll just sum it up.
Yeah, I'm caught up with many things at the moment with my job. For the last two weeks I've been receiving in all of the new computers, monitors, etc in, and for the next few weeks I'll be deploying them all. It's a lot of work, especially considering that a lot of the offices are out remote (and I mean '900km that I have to drive out into the desert' remote) where I don't even get mobile reception let alone internet.
I've been sneaking in writing when I can (as I used to write in the slow periods of 'wait till something breaks') and have a few thousand words across various fics. Plan B is the most at 3000 so far, and I might make it a little shorter at around 5000 so I can release something for you all.
It's been pretty busy with work, girlfriend, and some local events. However, I'm trying to get stuff done, so hopefully I'll have something to show for it soon.
Oh, and it was Territory Day on the first, the one day a year that it's legal in my part of the country to fire off some fireworks.
Naturally, I made a launcher out of metal and PVC pressure pipe.
Oh, and a poorly edited video:
Yeah, it gets pretty dark here at wintertime.
Wow you have guts firing that launcher in the video. I see way too many stories about people building their own stuff that end up losing a limb when it blows up in their hand. It did look like a pretty nice launcher though. I really liked the quotes of the side of the barrel.
Money isn't the root of all evil, it's DNS.
nyah, let them whine! It's ready when it's ready.
The main reason I wouldn't want to live in Australia is the people, Australia used to be cool, until I realized that there were so many people like this: Jesus Christ, what a stick in the mud.

Honestly Dropbear you're taking me along next year.

Can't rush perfection, eh?
Ah, you are one of those people who have a life outside of writing. I have no life, yet I still can't write. Writer's block and depression are the bane of creativity.

I know exactly what you mean.
