Where I was the last week · 1:37am Feb 25th, 2018
Yeah, so I was pretty much offline for a solid week, not much fic progress either.
I was away for work unfortunately, and due to the nature of my job I don't really have access to the internet and electricity when I'm out. I mean, pics below are my daily work commute.
(the above is what a rainstorm looks like from the air, if you were wondering).
I spend a decent chunk of my time waiting around on these:
And often if there is shelter, I have to share it with numerous snakes, spiders... and whatever monstrosity calls these home:
Really though, they're just bird nests. Not some type of hive for giant wasps. (They're more southern).
Still, I'm working on fic updates, and when I get a good day in I can crank out a decent amount of words. Hopefully I'll make some more progress this week, have got less work on.
Hope you had plenty of water, looks darned hot in your area.
Damn, what's your job anyways?

Yeah, average temp was about 42 degrees out there for a few days.

IT, actually. Part of the 'airwing' side of the company. Basically I fix computers, satellite dishes, and other network infrastructure out in remote locations. Not that bad though, rather than sitting in an office all day resetting passwords, I get to fly out on light planes (and the occasional chopper) for my day's work.

Ah, I see. It is very uncommon to see another fan of cone races. Who won the race?

That sounds like a neat job feature. Granted I can see how the travel could get a bit tiring, but I'd definitely take it over sitting bored in an office all day.
Also, you may want to consider getting a netbook or tablet/keyboard combo to let you write while waiting/flying since that should help both to improve your productivity and alleviate boredom.
Jesus, Australia is flatter than my home in the prairies. Best of luck with managing your new commute and writing horse words.
Wow, actual blue sky, the legends are true! All we get in Washington is overcast and downpour.
Neat. Australia looks like a nice place, if you ignore all the poisonous shit always trying to kill you.
All I have to say is, fuck snow.

Statement: Snow is fine if it's just cold though... I don't like West Virginia this year.
In rebuttal, I would point out that in addition to killing off all the bugs, snow makes majority of the wildlife fuck right off.
i miss you :(
wherever you are right now merry Christmas
'last seen Oct 2nd, 2018' I hope you're okay, wherever you are in life.

Well said. It's sad we will likely never see more of Nigel M Chalmers, Reflection, the UIP or anyone else again. Let's be glad at least that we got to experience it at all.
The damn dropbears got him.
5 years.... RIP, hope you come back soon.
