State of the Author: Then to Now · 1:50pm Jul 1st, 2015

Hello everyone. First off, I would like to thank every reader and follower that had joined me in the past few months. I know Ive been off of the fanfic market for a little bit, and I said that I was going to try and write while I got my new job, but that simply didnt happen. Have a status update and my future projects after the break!

Currently, I am on my way to an endodontist appointment. I remember blogging about how my dental bills would be insane even with insurance, but things are getting better. My teeth look better, and while Im still spending thousands (with help), it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I had a very well paying job for around 3 months, which is why I dropped off the face of the earth. I was laid off, so Ill be taking a small vacation while I look for something else. I intend to get some writing done soon. While I havent had many ideas lately, I do miss the joy of a finished story, or at least a started one.

I intend to partake in Skeeter's contest "The Old Switcharoo", or whatever that's called. However, I dont really have any ideas for the episodes that I strongly dislike (Leap of Faith, Somepony to Watch Over Me, and the classic Games Ponies Play), so perhaps Ill brainstorm somethinf while my gums are scraped.

If anyone has any ideas, Id be glad to think about them.

Anyway, the few projects that I was previously promoting are still in progress. Doomsday Arcade needs a little more polish, so Ill be working on that. Along with that, possibly some one shot clops or one shot slice of life stories. I really really want to share Doomsday Arcade with you all, but it simply must wait. I want a good first impression.

I want to do videos again, but I never have time to voice them. It's perhaps why I did the "discussion" posts a little bit back. I might write more videos in the future for a little bit. We will see.

Finally, I will be going to Bronycon. I dont intend to cosplay, even though I did like dressing up as Braeburn. Cloudhammer gave me a run for my money too, the sneaky devil.

I will be taking part in 3 panels instead of 1 this year. "Short, Long, Epic", which focuses on the pacing and size of stories. A revamp of the crossovers panel without Golden Vision and adding CyborgSamurai (and Wanderer D), and a panel on writing comedy with Gary Oak and Aquaman. I expect that Aqua will probably be the only funny one.

I feel honored to be on these three panels, which is why I am so anxious to write more. I feel underqualified simply because of my work. All my work feels dated and apart from Therapist Visit, I feel like my best work hasnt come yet. I call it the Chromosome problem.

Ill provide more details on my plans when Bronycon comes closer, but expect DA to come out before Bronycon. I want to do something that I tried last year, to release a chapter a day for the Bronycon weekend for those who couldnt attend, but I have to write something first.

Season 5 has been a really good season so far. Ill possibly write more discussion posts on those later on down the line.

So that's mostly it. A whole bunch of plans, that will hopefully come to fruition soon. I really want to write a text based adventure game with my friend Royfury, but it's a low priority currently. If I finish something, Ill make sure to let you guys know first. I know On The Wings of the Moon should be updated. It's too good of a story to not be.
