What a chapter!!

Seriously, this one chapter makes the prequel almost as long as the other story, and that one has more chapters!!

Anyway, I know I covered it in the author's note; however, I have to apologize further for the sheer amount of exposition in this chapter. There really wasn't any other way to explain what was happening, and I needed to establish the fact that magic wasn't limited to just unicorns before getting into the rest of the story. It'll help better explain what's happening to Rainbow Dash, though I'm still keeping all of the details close to my vest.

As those of you might think, I got the idea for a hearthstone-type enchant from WoW. I know such things have been used in other RPG's, but that was the one I used for inspiration. I just tweaked it a bit by tying it to both the Tree of Harmony and the Palace of Friendship.

I know I'm sending the girls into danger, and I know that I've separated them. I'm not promising they won't get hurt, nor am I saying they will. Don't worry though, nopony is gonna die, though Blueblood will likely lose control of a certain part of his anatomy (heh heh). I have no plans to kill anypony from Ponyville off, especially if they're the Mane Six (I generally detest stories that kill or otherwise maim members of the Mane Six, including Spike, so don't look for that in any story I write. Injury, yes; I can't promise they will always be kept safe from injury). I'm not saying I won't kill ponies; just look at what happened in PSDAL.

You'll be seeing more of Clever May, as I actually like her as a character. Sure, she's a greedy bitch, but no more than Catwoman.

I should have more for you soon, as I really want to wrap everything involving Blueblood up as soon as possible. I'm starting to get annoyed with my muse; I'd like for him to just curl up in a corner and whine for the rest of the fic. However, she won't let me; she says he's stupid, not evil, so he deserves redemption. Also, a pair of hooves to his plot.

Anyway, I'll let you all get to reading this beast of a chapter. I hope to have the final part of this two-part series of chapters done soon. The next part is likely to be as long, as there's a great deal that has to happen before the journey continues. Also, once I lay the ground-work for the journey's beginning, I'll be able to write more of PSDAL. I'm looking forward to it.
