Saturday Update 1 and Episode 100 thoughts. · 4:21pm Jun 13th, 2015

First thing's first. Lets talk about what updates Flinx has today in the weekly grab bag. I've been hard at work to make everyone smile, and this is what I've come up with. A new story, an update people wanted, and a little slapped together bint. I hope you enjoy it all; by that I mean telling me what you think, liking the stories, and putting down a comment or favoriting them. I worked pretty hard on what I have (except the KYM bit), so I hope it meets expectations.

First off we have a brand new story, I Only Hate You. A coming of the heart story about Trixie and Twilight Sparkle. The idea came to me pretty quickly, but I feel that it can be a big hit if given the right exposure. Tell me what you think of it.

Next, the update to "Every Time She Gets Undressed...". It's a pretty cute idea, if I say so myself. The story of Lyra and Bon Bon's first anniversary after getting their own house together. The story itself won't be terribly long in the end, but it's the emotion of it that truly matters.

Finally, KYM. Not much to say on this one. It's Know Your Mare. You should know what that means by now.

Alright...

I thought it was all pretty well done. Enough time given to a good number of side characters, a little too much audience jerking if I had any complaint. Otherwise, I really liked it. It had a lot of good jokes and it really felt like a tip of the tap to the fans. Even going so far as mimicking a lot of silly tropes and story ideas we fanfiction writers pull. Bon Bon being a spy, the doctor pulling out a handful of references, Vinyl and Octavia literally splitting a house, Derpy existing... It's all some good fun and it pays off well in the end.

The whole of it makes me tingle with excitement and ideas. If you could pick any background character for me to write an expansive story on, who would it be? Just a thought. I do plan on writing out a ditty or two on the idea. Though, I can feel many about to do the same. Many said that the 100th episode would ruin some headcanons, I don't really see that. It just gives some new light and life to characters we never truly knew. And that's something to be happy about.
