So earlier as most of you know, I made a blog post that said "I'?".
I wasn't trying to troll you guys into thinking it had some special meaning, my phone just glitched up while I was trying to type "I'm" and then posted it.
But, I checked the comments and they were so damn funny that I think I'm going to leave that post up there c:

For my question... when did you start writing, and what was the first story you wrote?
The first time I wrote was in grade five, ten years ago... I wrote a romance to escape my math class (keep me preoccupied). Ever since then I've written a lot. I think the count comes in at 11 novels (none finished, at least 40 word doc pages long), and 23 shorts (not excluding what I have now written).

Don't be afraid to ship outside of the usual norms. Flutterdash, rarijack, fluttermac, sparity, Twilestia, etc. are all great pairings, but it's because they come naturally to most people. Think about what you can say that hasn't been said. Not necessarily pairing them with background ponies, but a shipping you can make work despite the difficulties that lay within (i.e. Raridash, twishy, raripie). I've done the traditional ships myself, and sure they're popular and get attention (Fluttermac and Rarijack), but I find greater reward in working with the pairings that haven't gotten deserved attention (twilight/nopony, Tavishy).
Also, best advice for anyone about to attempt a ship, take it slow. Too many people rush their stories and the characters are head over hooves in no time. Feelings develop over time and there is so much conflict opportunity that ship writers skip over.
