I'm pissed, to put it lightly... · 9:50pm May 15th, 2015
So, I'm currently working on a new story on the side while working on "A Game of Kings and Pretty Pony Princesses."
It is based off an actual 24-hour comic I attempted back in late September of 2014. I didn't finish the comic yet, but that isn't what bothers me.
And that would be?
I worked really hard putting things together, because I was trying to start a blog where I would do a 24 hour comic every month to measure how much better my art skills were improving if I practiced a lot every day. Well, that project fell through, but I still have this:
That is a camera rig I made with some pipes, duct tape, and a nut. It only cost me 12 dollars to make. I recorded myself doing everything for two whole weekends working on this comic. (It actually took me twice as long to complete only half of the planned comic. I had the video edited into a timelapse and everything. I worked really hard on it.
So, I'm digging around in my external hard drive to find the timelapse to use as a promotion for my new work. And guess what.
I couldn't bloody find it.
I am so upset that I lost so much work. I still have the original sketches and the scans, but the videos are missing! I spent two hours today trying to figure out why I couldn't copy the original videos from my Sony Handycam over, only to find out that the videos aren't there! There a just a catalogue of pictures referring to videos that don't exist anymore.
I feel like crying seeing that some really hard work just disappeared on me like that.
Oh well, I'll be more careful with my stuff next time. I gotta go now. I've got a three to four hour drive out of state again to see my folks. I'm not going to be with internet for the next few days, and in a place that gets incredibly poor cellphone reception, so I'm not going to be able to get much reading or writing done. (I work on G-docs)
Holy crap that camera rig... 10 outta 10!
Sorry to hear.
Remember, if it's stupid but it works, its genius.
