Not a very clever writer. I like pie... I think that's it

Drafts and Outlines and... pie(?) · 1:59am May 4th, 2015

I am not what you would call a great writer when it comes to the realm of fiction. I do not feel like a good writer. That is not to say I feel like I'll never be able to consider myself "good". In reality, I know the only way to get there is to actually write something and... I've tried. I've had ideas and have even began a draft or two. It's just that I usually get stumped, or I'll begin to read what I have read and feel like it is bad, or in one case realize that their is no plot: it is just a concept that doesn't seem to lead anywhere.

For the first time in a while, I feel like I actually have a full plot swimming around in the spacious cavity that holds the small squishy mass that is my brain.

And what does this give me?

A smattering of nonsense within a notebook and a word document. Well... not really nonsense, but it feels like it. So, now I'm stuck on how to start... well more like progress the story forward. This seems to be the place where I always get hung up. How to move it forward, how to start it, or even how to end it. I feel like my endings are my weakness. To me, they always feel rushed and haphazardly thrown together (they usually are).

hmm... maybe should take a chapter from several writing guides and just sit down to roll my face over the keyboard and spit out 50-1000 words a night?

eeyup, think that's what I'm gonna do. Not sure about uploading the dribble just yet, but hopefully, maybe, I will.
