The End of A New Kind of Party

It's finally here, the end of the TwiPie story, A New Kind of Party. It's been a long time, with lots of space and delays between some of the chapters.

The End of A 'Not So Simple' Simple Life

At long last, Simple Life has come to an end. It's been many years now and it's rather long. The couple certainly have come a long way, and have finally made progress. But this wasn't the original plan.

    Changes to "One Winter's Day"

So, as some pointed out about my story, One Winter's Day, it wasn't exactly 'done'. The story had mostly a beginning and sort of end, and not much of a middle.

I hadn't wanted it to be very long, afraid I would make it super long. Guess I made it too short instead. So now, I've added more and hopefully it feels better for everyone else too.

    Enjoy the holidays folks!

A New Kind of Party Seperating from Show Cannon

Meant to post this at the same time as the last New Kind of Party update, but this would be roughly where the story is definitely separating from the main cannon. It will deal with some of the episodes coming up (especially the ones I pointed out in one of my previous blogs) but this

    The Legend of the Everfree

How funny that a couple of months after I return from a summer long sleepaway camp in the woods on the mountains, my little pony comes out with their latest movie based on a camp. :rainbowlaugh:

SPOILER ALERT (just in case).

This is for those who've read chapter 16 or later.

Gotta picture for the scene in the attic :pinkiehappy:

While originally made for Shutup868, it wouldn't hurt to show all the other NSSSL fans a lovely picture of the main shipped mares. This is hand made, using basic color pencils and an extremely fine point pen. And imagination. (though if this image gets vetoed, then there's a picture up for someone else to grab while I make the proper changes for Shutup869)

Want a scene/picture for yourself? Just send me a message and we'll talk business! :ajsmug:

EDIT~!: Guess who got a nice lovely printer for free? I love having a computer friend! He gets cool stuff usually in trade or for free. Since he didn't need a scanner, I get it instead. How's about them apples?

3033375 ok, no. I could have sworn you said it was 869! Arrgggg... ok. will fix >.>

But aye, it's done. Again, I have a crappy camera, so it actually looks better in person. :pinkiehappy:

gwg

It looks fantastic, great job. Can't wait to see what you got for me.

-GWG-

Random chime in here, but is there a way you can perhaps get a scanner, or access to a scanner, for your art?

3056512 I've looked into it before, but since I already have a printer, it's usually suggested that getting just a scanner isn't very useful. I was thinking of looking into it again though, especially if I make more art.

3057322 Ah, I see. It's definitely worth a second look imho. With a scanner, you can better preserve your works as well as show a more detailed view of them instead of struggling for a good enough angle from your phone's camera (I've done that as well with my earlier works X3) The coloring is very nice and the way you draw the mane 6 is quite unique and lovely! Just a friendly suggestion though :3

3057322 Er, also, some printers now come with scanners in them so I think you'd benefit better with a two-in-one combo.

Aaaaand if it's something you're already aware of then just disregard this ;^^ :twilightblush:

3058354 well, I am aware of the combos, but then again, I've been told, 'I already have a printer! why get the combo?'... Yeah, used to be very susceptible to peer pressure. : ) Thanks for the suggestion though, I had forgot about looking into scanners but it would help if I aim to do more art.

Also, I'm glad you like the way I draw them. Took lots of practice and redos. I wasn't sure if I should change the style some more to be more show accurate or unique, but I do like what I've got so far. :pinkiehappy: I appreciate the feedback and will take the scanner suggestion into account. May take me a bit to gather the money for it, but will help in the long run.

3058873 Heh heh! And so far you're doing a fine job at it. Go at your own pace though, at least regarding the scanner thing, plenty of time to consider it. And regarding your art change, I'd say it's worth dabbling into, maybe play around with subtle changes and the like, just to see where it takes you.

And you're very welcome for the feedback! I know I appreciate a few helpful words myself, so from one artist to another, I say you're doing very well, friend!

3060433 3033375 Well, there we go! I asked about my household and a computer tech friend of mine had recently gotten a scanner for free from some rather nice people. So here is a better quality image. :pinkiehappy:

3063494 Whoa!! MAJOR difference! Brings out the coloring nicely, and I can see the details a bit more clearly. NICE!!! And the beautiful thing about scanning your pieces is that you can transport and open them in paint or any other art tool or app, and make even more changes to them! Plus, you can store them more easily and preserve them if the actual work gets damaged or lost.

I'm looking forward to seeing even more lovely works from you in the future, my friend! :yay:
