That was not a typical Vinyl Scratch and Octavia fanfic. The originality was very nice. Not much pony it it though, and it has clop and violence. A few darkly amusing moments though. If you don’t like clop at all, this won’t be worth reading. If you do, or simply tolerate it, plus you don’t mind some violence and dark humor, I’d suggest giving this a try.

This was really good. I was a little bored for the first half or so, but by the end it managed to build up quite a large amount of emotional impact. The only nitpick is that this story has so little pony in it that I honestly spent most of the story feeling like I was reading straight up original fiction. It is such a personal story with such a tight focus that the reader never sees the wider world it takes place in. If you took out the pony names the author could easily sell this as a short story. Still, I thought it was quite good.

A Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia romance. This one won’t change your mind on that pair if you don’t like it, but I enjoyed it. Had some sweet moments, some funny moments, and I really liked how the author wrote both Twilight and Celestia.

This was pretty good. Another ‘one of the mane six is a changeling’ story. With a bit of a twist at the end. A solid average-good story. Though I will admit that Celestia’s behavior (the letter informing Twilight Sparkle of the possible changeling) turns out to be a really dumb way to handle the situation.

Sequel to Right. This one I liked even more. It’s a bit longer and the writing is slightly better. Plus Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle are so cute as a couple. Worth a read, but not a magnificent work of art. Wouldn’t mind reading more from this author, and would love to get more romantic stories about Changeling Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle. Plus I liked Queen Chrysalis’s jerk moment, where she is just a jerk instead of actually evil.
