    Currently away

Hey, this is ErraticOverlord's friend. He wanted me to send out this blog post because he broke his arm while doing something stupid, so he's at the hospital and away from a computer.

    URGH SICKNESS

I've been completely flat on my back sick for the last several days, so I haven't been able to finish the next chapter of SMU and me, yet. You can expect it in the next few days, but I'm really sorry I haven't been able to do it.

    It's Wednesday!

And that means an update! On Just SMU and me.

I'm going to put the chapter up a bit later today because I woke up very sick, but I'll be darned in lead socks before I give up on updating every Wednesday one week after I gave the proclamation I would.

Just be warned that the last bit of the chapter might be completely nonsensical, so you should tell me if that happens.

    Bringing you up to speed

So some of you may have noticed my sudden disappearance, followed by prolonged absence. The short version of this is that I had quite a lot of things to do and, when they were finished, suffered from horrible writer's block, partly brought on by my complete disappointment in trying to watch the fourth season.

Game of Assumptions Chapter 1 has been updated! · 4:34am Apr 13th, 2015

So, some of you may have already read the first chapter of my new story, Game of Assumptions, or, How Many Mages Fit in a Magpie.

The chapter was pretty good, but with all the time it took for me to find cover art and everything, I think I posted it mostly without reading what it said, being happy just to have it out there.

That's a mistake and I'm very sorry for my readers for making it.

The originally posted version, as I said, was good but it didn't feel much like a sequel to Guessing Games to me. The format was all wrong and it felt like I wasn't really trying when I was transitioning scenes or describing areas. The thing that mostly woke me up to this was a comment on the story from a user named Mooncalf. The comment was well made, polite, and was mostly targeted at the spotty pacing in the story.

This is far from my first problem with pacing, so I decided to give it a look. Looking at the chapter with fresher eyes than I had when I first wrote it, I started working on it again, adding and changing things until I ended up with a version I'm personally much happier with.

Even if you've already read the first chapter, I highly recommend you read the updated version, as it contains entirely new scenes and information you might otherwise not be privy to.

If, after reading the updated version, you like the changes, thank Mooncalf.

If you don't like the changes, blame me.

Don't blame Mooncalf.

Don't be a joyk.

Although, if you wanted to read the old version you can find it here.

PS.
If you're reading this and you're the one who disliked the story before I updated it,

But, seriously, I encourage you to please take another look at it and give it a second chance. But if you don't, after reading the original I have a basic idea why you would dislike it.

In any case, everyone reading this blog and more can expect more updates for Game of Assumptions!
