Update To Be Postponed · 2:29am Apr 4th, 2015
As it turns out I was thinking a little too optimistcally when I announced the next update.
My life has been very hectic this past month and stretching into April—even moreso than usual. In my documentary class, we had our first major project when he had to shoot a short documentary on minimum wage. The whole project felt like an actual job and was very taxing on almost all the free time I had. Seriously, it was due last Friday, and my partner and I were up 'till 7 AM through the night editing; we didn't even start at the last minute!
Then that same week, I was very busy with my theatre group. Every spring we have an annual show called the Student Night Of One-Acts (SNOOA for short). This is a showcase of student written, directed, performed, and produced ten-minute plays, all put together in a short period of time and zero dollar budget. This year, I got roped into directing two plays and performing in two (I was the lead in one of them). The show went up the same night of the day I turned in the documentary project.
Then in the middle of March, I had an audition to go to in Massachusetts in front of about 40 theatre companies from all over the country. I ended up getting a call back from a touring theatre company based in Montana and am currently awaiting results from them. But I also got a letter from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC, inviting me to register for a 10-week summer training program. I don't know if I'll actually do this, but I've also been talking to a lot of my professors for their two cents.
Then in two weeks from tonight, I'm going to be playing Bernstein in "Little Shop of Horrors", so we're really entering crunch time for that.
*Phew* Sorry you had to read all of that, but I think it's fair to let it all out to know what's happening as usual. Due to all this, I'm going to push the update back another two weeks. Hopefully, you can see something from me then.
In some more news, I am super syked for the season 5 premier tomorrow! I plan on getting up early tomorrow morning to livestream the event, and hope others will be doing the same. I really missed the show and the life of the fandom, and hope that this can be a fresh new start for all of us.
