    Jed On: Stories Taken Down/P2P

Short version. I've taken down several of my stories: I believe the phrase is "pull to publish", as I'm going to strip them down and work them back up as original novels, short stories and more.

    Final (?) Update

    Hi all.

So it’s obviously been a while since I wrote something on here, or indeed updated anything. I’ve been busy for a while, and I haven’t had much motivation to come back to this site for a while. There are a lot of reasons for that, but most of them aren’t really my business to disclose entirely.

    Jed On: Brief writing update

    Hey all.

Short version: I’ve wasted enough people’s time with long talks about my mental state by now.

Haven’t managed to write much of anything since last blog post. Not for this place, not original work, nothing. It’s frustrating, but I’ve had to deal with writer’s block pretty much on and off for the last ten years so... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Jed On: Current Events and History

There’s a lot of awful things happening in the world right now, so I’ve had to really think about the best way to approach it. It sort of hit home when an author whose work I actually liked turned out to be… well, other people know better than I do so I’ll leave it at that.

Jed On: Xover Question. · 5:45pm Mar 21st, 2015

Ok, so you guys know there's currently a Crossover in progress between AOA and The Other Side of the Spectrum, which seems fair since there's at least three authors who've worked on both universes now (including, quite obviously, me). Now: I know there's a fair bit of crossover between folks who read spectrum and folks who read AOA - we are the same genre after all - so because of that, if anyone reading this is a fan of both, what would you want to see in such an crossover? I can't promise every (or any) suggestions will be implemented, but I can promise they'll be considered.

Should say for the record: no nerfing of either franchise. Marcus Renee is not gonna oneshot Solamina, and the Avatar of Albion isn't going to decapitate Queenie in a single blow. The armies of Spectrum aren't gonna ride in and wipe the floor with the Solaminan Empire any more than the Dead Men and the Knights Of Albion are gonna cut a swathe through a horde of newfoals single-handedly. This is a crossover that is gonna respect both worlds and try its best to show them at their best! which means nobody's gonna be oneshotting anyone. Except Flash Sentry.

Cheers,

Jed.

Since you're asking this question I guess you're getting that much closer to releasing the crossover?

2897911 Releasing? Not sure, though for me I'd say... maybe. Even so, there's a lot of possible ground to cover and I want, to a certain extent, to know what people might want :-)
