Hi all.
So it’s obviously been a while since I wrote something on here, or indeed updated anything. I’ve been busy for a while, and I haven’t had much motivation to come back to this site for a while. There are a lot of reasons for that, but most of them aren’t really my business to disclose entirely.
To be honest with you, part of that has been that I’ve been doing other projects elsewhere that have been… well, more rewarding. Without going into detail, because that’s not my job, there‘s a lot of baggage attached to what I do on this site, and that baggage is entirely absent elsewhere. I’ve spent more time in places lacking that baggage, where I… look, frankly, I put my heart and soul into the work I did on this site, as I do with all my work, and it got stamped on a lot.
Like, a loooooot. You lot maybe got told a quarter of the stuff I’ve dealt with on this site.
I compare that experience to the places where I’m putting my work now, and it’s genuinely being appreciated, loved, and when people criticise it’s from that place of love and appreciation, and I just feel like it’s so much more fulfilling in those other places. I don’t know if it’s the people, the lack of piss-poor experiences in those spaces compared to this one, or anything else, but I have to be honest how I feel for this post. Those of you who follow and appreciate me here deserve that much, and so much more. I’m sorry I have to be disappointing, but as the most supportive of my friends and readers have already said, I have to look after my own mental health first, and that’s best served by me acknowledging this and doing what’s right by me.
All this being the case, it may be a long, long while before I update anything on here again. That question mark is there on the off-chance I should decide to return to finish my work, but barring some sort of minor miracle, it will not be for a very long time.
So on some administrative notes: all my stories are back on “hiatus” until such time as I return. I disabled email notification so if you message me I won’t see. I’m not going to be coming onto this site again until I actually decide to come back. Like, at all.
Also, as of right now, people are only allowed to use my characters, worlds, mythology, ideas, writing, et al, if they personally have been given my explicit written permission to do so. Mainly because I’m probably going to be reusing and reworking a lot of my concepts for my own original work, but also because I’m not going to be here to answer every time someone asks, so better to give a blanket answer now 😂. I won’t be replying to comments on this, so just know that I’m thankful for everyone who’s truly supported me over the years.
So in summary: thank you all for everything. My especial thanks to TheIdiot and Doctor Fluffy for always having my back. See you around.

And so, the curtain falls on this stage for the time being. Will it ever rise again? Who knows, but the cast and crew of this production company will be off doing new things together.
And that is the best anyone could ask for.
