Explanation of Inactivity · 3:07am Mar 7th, 2015
Hi, everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted, and I do have a reason for that, but it may not be one you like.
The truth is, I'm feeling a little burned out from The Majestic Tale. I've gotten very close to finishing the draft of the first chapter of The Empire of Shadows, but... well, I simply don't want to do it. And really, I don't want fanfiction to feel like a chore, so I'm going on a bit of a hiatus from this until I'm ready to continue. Make no mistake—I will come back to it, hopefully sooner rather than later... but frankly, I need a break.
That said, I am still writing fanfiction, but it's neither for MLP nor Doctor Who. You see, I've recently gotten into the Mystery Skulls fandom (that being the fandom for the characters in this music video: I'm as surprised as anyone by this) and thus I've been writing a fanfic for that. You can find it on AO3 by clicking here. It's at 25k words already, all written within the last month or so, and still going strong!
One last thing: I've recently-ish found this awesome mashup of the Fall Out Boy songs "Centuries" and "The Phoenix". Funny thing is, it's kind of perfect for The Empire of Shadows, so take a listen! And when I at last publish the episode, perhaps you'll see what I mean. In the meantime, enjoy! (And, if the Mystery Skulls stuff intrigues you at all, take a look at that fic. I think you may enjoy it.)

It's perfectly fine to take a break when you feel burned out. Come back whenever you're ready. But please don't leave Majestic Tale unfinished. I love the story, and I'd be terribly sad if it just withered away...

2856220 Like I said, man, this isn't the fic being cancelled. I may return to it sooner than I think. But I've got to want it, you know? (And I kind of do—I've got some AMAZING, limit-pushing stuff planned for the near future. Just, you know, not yet.)
