So... I was thinking, who wants me to write a mature side-story series to my Fanfic "The Last Alicorn(Book one: Purpose)"? · 9:41am Feb 26th, 2015
The reason I'm asking is because as you all have most likely figured out who follow the fic is that mature themes are heavily implied but due to me wanting to keep it teen, I've left out some of the more, "Intimate" scenes.
My question is if you'd all be interested in it. It would be a collection of mini-stories that would take place at certain points in the chapter. There would be little plot since it would be mostly clop but I would make sure to provide a little more story so it ties in with the main series.
This also came to mind as a way to lure more readers into checking out the main series. Yes, I know this is a little underhanded of me to try and bait people in through a clop fic but lets face it, I've done similar tactics in the past (Unintentionally) and its skyrocketed my fanfic's popularity because the reader wants to know what happens next.
So, would you all be interested? Let me know in the comments below!
If I understand you correctly, the mini stories will go with the main story well enough that if one would to merge the 2 with the chapters in the correct places and correct order, we could get a story that is more adult in nature?
Some stories are populars, other aren't.
Unfortunately for you, you're known for your mature fics, so your other fics are less popular. That doesn't mean you have to ask people to read teem, nor you need to add mature content just to attract people.
For my part, I don't read it, because I was first interested in Pen Pal and the Sweetie Belle Toll of Love, then I began to read your fic with Discord, and a lot of your long projects, mature or not are on hiatus since ages. It makes hard to take you seriously on some kind of projects.
I mean it's not what I think, but I could say: "Why would I read this fic if 80% of the others are unfinished ?"
Another thing is that your fic is submitted to a lot of group and still has a few reads and notes (that aren't so good moreover), for me, that means it's not very not popular to begin with either your name is involved or not.
As for including mature content, it's your call. If you really want to put one, do it, if you think your fic should just have a teen content don't.
Adding sex just to attract people won't make your fic better and just sound like putting naked women in advertisements and video clip. Not a good idea and not very good for reputation.
I have yet to read The Last Alicorn, but it is in my read later file and I plan on getting to it soon. Personally, I tend to like side fics that deal with the more...uhh...mature themes. But at the end of the day, if YOU want to write them, please do. But if YOU do not, then don't.
as much of a perv as I am I say keep it as it is. but I am not the one who's looking to get more to read my fic which if you added more sex to it would get more views. so not sure what to say. I support keeping it as is but I know you will get more views for the clop
