Learn to love the writing, of telling a story that you want told, and not the recognition that comes with it. When skill and passion atrophy, write for yourself, and in time, you'll inspire others.

    Calling all my Former Proofreaders

This goes out to everyone who has helped me with my stories these past few years. Firstly, thank you so much, I could never have gotten as far as I have without you. You've been inspirational, a pick-me-up, and oftentimes good friends when it came to what I was writing and dealing with, as have all the fans who have read my works. Again, I thank you all for being there with me through

    Major Update

Wow, it's been nearly a year since my last blog post. Time sure has flown this year, what with two jobs, a lot of work on some of my stories, and a great deal of time spent trying to make sure it all comes together.

    Commissions and Rules

Should I take them? I have been contacted in the past concerning them, though decided against it at the time, and would be tickled pink if people actually wanted me to do such. However, I would likely have a few ground rules.

Okay, okay, I have worked on ADJ a bit here and there, but that's beside the point right now. I've been working on a side project that's sort of taking over all most of my writing thoughts and ideas this past week. I won't tell you the whole kit and caboodle, but I can tell you that, as fans, I would like something from you, something simple.

A mythological creature, or two, or three, preferably one that isn't basically a demon or fallen angel or human monster. By this, I mean no giant skeleton monsters or floating severed heads or cyclops ghost/spirit with an eye where their asshole would be (I'm serious, that exists, WTF Japan). Humanoid is fine, such as harpies, centaurs and the like, although obviously not those, as I've already come up with those.

All I'm asking for is whatever you can think of. Browse the inter-webs if need be, I'm simply asking for as many ideas as possible. They can be from games, books, television or from history itself. I NEED them for this story I'm making: I would love a huge list from which to pick, if possible.

Format is simple:

Name: this is what it is called, preferably in in English
Description: size, shape, color, diet, behaviors, etc
(Optional) Source: where specifically is it from? Books? Movies? Television? A game of sorts? Did you just make it up on the spot (props if you did)?

That's it right there.

Post as many as you wish. I'll be waiting. And, if you do have questions about the beast itself or perhaps the story, I will reply in the comments below, just... no real spoilers.

Well, I'm just going to link as many wiki links as I can, makes it a small bit easier for me.

Satyrs (Part man, part goat)

Satyrs vary in size; some are shorter then an average human, some even taller. Their diet consists of nuts, berries, wood, and leaves. Their only weakness, like their cousins, the centaurs, they LOVE beauty, be it immaterial or living; so much so that they will steal and/or kidnap the object of their desire.

Source: Greek and Roman Mythologies.

http://monster.wikia.com/wiki/Wendigo

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudomonarchia_Daemonum a "grimoire" of 69 demons

http://monster.wikia.com/wiki/Basilisk

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C4%81ga Could easily be reperposed so that they're ponies instead of human

Uhm, I can research further if you want something specific, or hell, I could make something up for ya. What'cha looking for?

2821819 Anything really, though I'd prefer it to be non-demonic in nature. I've already got tons of demons set.

That, and I've love something unique that someone bothered to make up themselves.

there are kirins that you could use. basically half horse half dragon if you didn't now already.

they very in size and diet based on what species the dragon aspect of them are. for example if it is part fire dragon then it would eat a pretty good amount of meat but if it was part earth dragon then it would mostly prefer things like clay and certain types of rocks and gems and stuff like that.
