Hello, StrangeBehavior here with an interesting question that can easily be debated by you…
A day or so ago, a strange thought appeared in my head when I was watching Kung Fu Panda, I suddenly remembered the Chinese Zodiac, or 'Shēngxiào' as it is known in China. I then felt an extremely powerful urge for Sean to talk about the Chinese Zodiac when the gang from Equestria, see a number of decorated statues about the twelve animals when they possibly visit Earth in a future chapter. This is the question I'm asking you readers…(and read this to really consider my question; Chinese zodiac)
Who among the following characters, do you believe is born to which year, month, and day, by Gregorian standards?
Twilight Sparkle
Fluttershy
Pinkie Pie
Rarity
Applejack
Rainbow Dash
Spike
Princess Celestia
Princess Luna
Discord
Shining Armor
Princess Cadence
Big Macintosh
The Cutie Mark Crusaders
And a number of other ponies you can try to speculate who belongs to where…
I can do the same for some of the Pokémon Trainers, and to understand what I'm saying, here's an example, using the above link;
Zodiac guide:
The year (how others perceive you), the month (what you are internally), the day (what you truly are), and hour (what you are, secretly) [Haven't figured the last one 'or the day one' out yet]…
Myself to be used as an example:
"I was born on the Year of the Pig (the year), considering the month I was born on, I seem to be a Dragon internally, and I guess I am truly or secretly a Goat (the Day? Hour?)"
Here are several trainers I can confirm the ages of in my Pokémon crossover (current date on Poké Earth: March 14, 2015):
Sean: Born 4/21/2000 at 1:37 PM
Rosa: Born 2/06/2003 at 5:43 AM
May: Born 7/05/2004 at 4:29 PM
Brendan: Born 4/16/2004 at 11:36 AM
Lyra: Born 10/25/2000 at 5:03 PM
I can't really think of other trainers, and I am sorry if I'm giving you a challenge with giving the pony cast zodiac signs, we do have a slight clue we can hopefully pinpoint the ages of the Mane Six at least…
On the episode, Griffon Brush-Off, Fluttershy mentions to Pinkie after the earth pony told her that she should let her 'Ol' Auntie Pinkie Pie' worry about Gilda, what Fluttershy said was that she was 'a year older' than Pinkie. That struck me as odd, it could have been a joke, but Fluttershy's face when she said it told me otherwise.
Also, if we can assume that the Equestrian universe and Equestria universe are running parallel to each other as far as characters go, then the Mane Six are teenagers, at least older teens.
