Well...It's been a while since my last blog post. I feel like I should be doing more to keep y'all updated on my progress. Work has been tiring and I keep getting sidetracked by...things. For one thing, I've started playing Minecraft again after a long hiatus. I was kinda sore when a previous update wiped out all my mods. However, just recently, I started over, started up a new world and well...
Yeah...it kinda sucks ya in, doesn't it?
Anyway, I figured that I was do for an update, given that I've hit a couple of big milestones.
Firstly: I have broken the 900 follower barrier. Only another ninety-nine or so until I hit the big One-Triple-Zero. You people are all awesome!
Second: Savage Skies has reached over ONE MILLION WORDS!!! The project as a whole had finally broken that major barrier. I'm currently working on the 145th chapter, which is about chapter...19 of Story 8. I'm coming into the final stretch, which means that there are a couple of big fight scenes coming up, one of which I've been itching to write for a while. All in all, the series as a whole is coming to a head. The big climax is gonna have to wait until Story 9 though. I'd give you guys an estimate on when it'll be ready, but, as I've said before, I am horrible at predicting these things and I don't want to get your hopes up just to miss the deadline. But I do feel that I'm getting close, possibly before the end of February. But...no guarantees.

Jesus, man. 900 followers, over 1,000,000 words for this series, nine stories overall (this is very reminiscent of the Austraeoh series), and . . .
I think I'm on the fourth story? Maybe? I guess that makes this series, Imploding Colon's series, and Diary of a Madman all on my literary bucket list.

That's...actually perfect. Nothing breaks my heart quite like a story I adore that gets abandoned. Plus, now that there's and ETA of sorts, I'll have time to reread the series for the 88th time. Also, we can give that TV Tropes page some love...as soon as I get up.
Ah yes, Minecraft. The game with so much charm and solid design that even the most caustic of critics can't help but love it. I've lost more hours than I'd care to imagine to the indie superstar (which makes me very happy that there is no time tracker on display.) Why don't we all sit around the virtual campfire and stoke it with tales of our greatest adventures? I'll kick things off with the castle I built on a 100 x 100 dirt square in the middle of the ocean. It took 3 months of constant effort and a mountain of broken shovels and picks, but it was all worth it.
You are climbing that ladder towards Fimfiction fame quickly. I think the fact that every new chapter you write finds its way to the feature box is a testament to that much. You have followers here, a TvTropes page (which sorely needs some updating), and fan art. You've earned them all. Rest assured that we'll still be here waiting when you finally pull yourself away from Minecraft long enough to finish Book 8.
Take your time. You are fast enough.
