Ponies and Robots Wars - Status report. · 3:56am Jan 16th, 2015
Hey there, how's it goin'?
Well, I literally lost count on how many time has passed since I updated Ponies and Robots Wars and, considering it was affected by the big hiatus, it's not a surprise.
But, since I'm still fighting with myself to get over it and bring back my fics, let me tell you that I've been working real hard here.
So, after six months of internal struggle, internal fighting, meditation, smashing my head against the keyboard and a research that accidentally proved that the universe belongs to Darkseid, here's what I got:
A deleted scene.
I can recall the exact scene.
Cadence is sitting next to me, in the palace's balcony. Everypony else is inside the main hall, dancing and partying to stay awake till midnight for the final countdown. It's about eight or nine minutes before they start saying the last ten seconds and I'm about to kiss the love of my life when the door opens behind us.
"Shining, Cadence." It's Princess Luna herself, in all her bad timed glory. "Oh, sorry. I'm interrupting something?" No your Majesty, only a very romantic moment with my wife. Just when it seems she's getting back into the hall, another figure comes right next to her.
"Luna, let them to have their privacy." I would thank Celestia for the help, but she stars lecturing her little sister about the values of personal space and privacy, right in front of us. "But we can talk about that later." She cuts herself and guides Luna to the door. "Now lets go back to the celebration and give the lovebirds some space." Subtle, you Majesty, subtle as a charging elephant.
They open the door to leave but instead, another pony enters. "Princess Celestia, what are you all doing here?" Jut when I think I can have one moment with my wife, who is chuckling by this point. Thankfully, Celestia seems to be sensible enough to talk Twily into leaving, maybe my luck is getting back.
"Hey girls, I found them. They're having a reunion in the balcony." Damn it!
And that's how two alicorn princesses, six mares and a dragon prevented us from having a romantic moment. I shake my head to shrug off the frustration and instead, enjoy having the company on the year's last night. I take one last look at my dad's watch and it's one minute before midnight. I'm about to call them but twilight is faster, I bet she was counting the seconds since an hour ago.
"Attention everypony!" Luna calls in a voice that could literally break every crystal in the Empire. "This day's time has come to and end. Let's count the last second of this year and prepare ourselves to receive the new one."
"Ten! Nine!" Everypony in the hall room starts the countdown.
"Eight! Seven!" Celestia and Luna are ready to give each other the traditional 'New Year's Hug'.
"Six! Five!" Twilight and her friends seems to be ready for a group hug too.
"Four!" I look into the two bits of sky that are Cadence's eyes. I can only look at my life and give thanks.
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"KRAKOOM!"
One virtual cookie (read: nothing) for anyone who can guess what happens next (also, I may need an editor).

I'm kinda busy here and manga is not really my thing, I barely watch anime and only if mechas are involved. On the other hand, a superhero high-school that is not produced by Disney? Let's check this out.
