Because of the Occasional Email... (I'm sorry.)

I know it's been some time since I've posted anything on this site. After getting caught up in a job and school, I hardly had a second to myself. Unfortunately, that left me with no time to write. I eventually left the fandom (I haven't seen MLP In a long while, but I do occasionally watch a new episode to so how things are going.) If I ever find inspiration to write again (based off the show,) I

    Raising Rainbow is Dead

Yes, I know, I know. It's been nearly a year since I last updated the story. However, my entire "Hiatus" I kept saying I'd bring more chapters. I kept lying about the day I'd continue, but it never did- and never will- come.

    But It's Not Sex...

At long last, I'm off for summer and have all the free time in the world to hunt for jobs, write, and practice violin. I'm only a couple weeks into my glorious break, and my sister's already trying to hook me up so I won't be as lonely as I've been the past few summers...

Could I Possibly Get Someone to Proofread My Paper?

Alright, so, for AP World History Final Exams, we had to choose one modern conflict to write about, along with countries histories, what lead up to the conflict, and use of visual representation to help describe our conflict. I chose to write about the current conflict happening between Russia and Ukraine. I didn't know a lot about it, but I've spent all day doing research about it and putting a

The Day I Hit Sixteen.... · 2:34am Jan 7th, 2015

For most of you who follow me, you know little about my personal life. Well, I recently turned sixteen just yesterday, and since then, I've gone a little bit crazy. I've been applying for jobs left and right. Since yesterday I've applied for Taco Bell, Wendy's, a babysitting job, McDonald's, and I tried to shoot for Petsmart (but stopped myself before I could. I'll probably apply for it later). My veins are practically pumping with anticipation of my first job. Since I was fifteen, I've been accepting commissions on this site, but it's not really regular income. Now, I want a job so badly it's practically killing me. I want to have financially security. I want to go to more school events. I want to save up towards a car, get a license, and not have to bother people with rides anymore. I want a pink Jeep Wrangler (My dream car!). I want to start doing better in school, raise my GPA (it's currently a 3.5, weighted), and just start living a more care-free life. I also really want some rats and a pug, but I can't have everything. I know I still have a lot of work to do, and a lot of steps to get to where I want to be, but now that I'm sixteen, my dreams actually feel possible. Hehe, sorry if my inner teenage girl is being set free, but I really can't help. At this point, I haven't been more excited for the future. If you guys could lend me any advice on learning to drive, getting a job interview, and even getting a first job, I'm all ears at this point. Thank you all, and please have an awesome day!

Learning to drive: Being nervous will fuck you up faster then another car will. Look forward, look at gauges, look forward, look left, look right, look left, And repeat the process until you get where you need to go. After a few hundred miles it all starts to get easier. So long as you remember to keep calm and keep looking.

Getting a job interview: Getting a interview is is the easy part, they will normally call you to set up a time once they approve your application. The hard part is the actual interview. Just like with driveing, you gotta keep calm. During my first interview, I was a sweating, shaking mess, But I talked with confidence(all you really need is confidence), answered their questions, and gave them a firm handshake. It seems a lot more scary then it actually is. Now my now bosses are supper cool people, but you may get a rather cold person interviewing you, there is not much you can do about this but just keep calm, and all will be well.
And if you don't get the job, just try, try again.

Welp, that's all the advice this 18 year old can give you.
Wish you the best.

And remember, the key to everything is to just keep calm, and remember that tomorrow will come just as today has and yesterday did.

Good luck with what tomorrow brings:yay:

Part time Jobs suck at least in my small ass town only two places that are ever hiring good thing my father is a manager at the grocery store I work at and good for u, a job means you can buy your own stuff

Hey, let that inner teenage girl out! I'm seventeen and I felt the same way as you did on my sixteenth birthday. Although I pretty much have my job future mapped out already (I'm going to take over my family's dog training school. Heck, I already have...almost:twilightblush:) I have never applied for a job anywhere, as I'm needed at the school, so I can't help you there.

But driving. Now that's a whole different story. In short, watch out for the idiots, and do not text and drive! Or talk and drive. Or do your make up and drive. Pretty much don't do anything except pay attention to the road! One time I saw this woman reading a book, yes a BOOK, while driving down the road. Seriously, how stupid can a person get?
I still have my permit, but ready to get my license as soon as my dad can take me. My mom is freaking out. My dad is cool as cucumber with me driving. Just don't put him in the backseat with my brother and sister, then it's as if I have 3 4 year olds in the back. I guess it's getting me prepared for parenthood.
I'm confident in my driving skills. I've driven 80 miles to my great-grandmother's home, 150 miles to the beach, numerous times back and forth to my grandparents and many other places. In the end, just keep an eye on your speed, keep an eye on your mirrors, keep an eye on the idjits (both on the road and in the backseat). Look both ways before turning. Look twice (or four times) before switching lanes (other drivers just love to speed up on ya when your trying to switch lanes). And never be nervous. You'll do great! :pinkiehappy: Oh, and I too dreamed about my car. I wanted a brand new Chevy camaro. Now days, however, with five huge dogs, a pickup truck might suit me better:rainbowlaugh:

I can't tell you how excited i was when i turned sixteen. It was great. Since i love in Colorado i was able to get my driving permit when i was fifteen and my licence on my sixteenth birthday. Driving is a little weird at first, but once you get the hang of it it's like riding a bike, you never forget.

My first time job hunting was not really as fun as i thought it would be. I drove all over town applying for jobs and filling out applications. It took a few day but i got my job at Papa Murphy's ( in fact i'm still working there). It was a little stressful job hunting but once you get a job and a source of income. A way to actually earn money that is yours. It is an amazing feeling. A job can also be really fun. The people I work with are really fun and we all get along well.

I hope this helps at least a little. I wish you the best of luck as always. And know that I'll be rootin for ya.

Nooooo!! Taco Bell no!! :raritycry:

It's a joke, do as you wish. :pinkiehappy:

Wait... You probably won't get this... Mexican joke after all :derpyderp2:

Uhhhh! And happy birthday (yesterday) and good luck :twilightsheepish:

Happy Birthday! I'm glad you're actively seeking out employment, I know from your blogs in the past that you and your family haven't had the best financial status. I wish my younger brother would get a job, he dropped out of school early in year 9 and all he does is lay on his bed surfin' the internet or watching movies.
I want you to listen to this YouTube video and think about every reader that has ever commented on one of your stories, you'll feel much better afterwards.
My grandfather always used to saying something to me as a child:
Take a stand, a dream is just a dream until you turn it into reality. The sky is never the limit, always reach for the stars, believe in what you do and others will, you are the next big thing.
Sadly, he passed away this past boxing day.

2705787 Oh, trust me, I won't be nervous. As a performing artist, it's very hard for me to get nervous by simply speaking, since I've done a lot scarier things in front of people. My calmness is the least of my concerns.

2705793 Thank you!

2705797 Awe, I'm sorry to hear that! :applejackunsure: I live in a city, so there's a fast food place on every block. Getting a job is pretty easy down here.

2705880 Yeah, getting a license isn't something that'll happen too soon for me. :fluttercry: Where I live, you have to wait A FLIPPING YEAR before you can get your license after getting your permit. I DON'T EVEN HAVE MY PERMIT YET! It's something I just found out, and I wish I would have known sooner. :fluttershysad: I'm a little pissed off nobody told me, because I WOULD have gotten my permit at fifteen!

2705997 What's Papa Murphy's?:rainbowhuh:

2706012 Thank you!

2706028 Awe, thank you so much! I'm going to talk to the manager of McDonald's over the phone tomorrow. Maybe I'll get an interview.

2706085 2706796 Thank you both so much! :pinkiehappy:

Sorry about taking so long to reply to all this. I was a bit busy, and thank you for your patience.

2712329 Papa Murphy's is a take-n-bake pizza place. To be honest I'm not sure if there any outside of Colorado. I'll bet they are but I'm not totally sure.
