Skipping out on weather duty is almost unheard of for Sprinkle Medley. While a winter wonderland forecast of a snow-filled season brings smiles to everypony in Ponyville around her, the new weathermare slips into depression rooted in rainy days.

Some Winter Reading and Updates · 6:16am Dec 21st, 2014

Hello peoples and ponies alike (And the occasional furry or scaly, but whatev's), I did a new thing! I needed a little break from rewriting Unraveling, which is still a thing. So I wrote Troubles Over Hot Chocolate for a little winter themed contest run by the group Characters That Need More Stories. I'm the first entry for the contest, but be sure to check by once all the contest entries are submitted and vote on which one you like best. I hear Manaphy is giving away a free Mazda to the winner (#blatantlieforgroupadvertisement).

So, putting that aside, why has Unraveling been updating so slowly, I hear one person ask. Well, remember that job I was all excited about a few months ago? Well, I got promoted and lasted 2 weeks in what I thought wasn't going to be a cold-calling telemarketing job, but turned out to be so. Long story short, I pressed myself so hard that I gave myself an anxiety attack. So, really I got a job 5 months ago that didn't even want just to suffer until December until I couldn't handle it anymore and exploded into a mess of stress. To express how bad it was, I literally couldn't do anything to relax. I played video games, watched youtube videos, TRIED to write, but in the end nothing could calm me down.

So, I quit that job and am unemployed for the moment, which is bad. However, I am already going to be employed by a different company come Jan. and Feb. for a job that I know I can be successful at, which is good! Just gotta last on what I've got in my bank until then, which is easy when you still live at home. Gotta thank my parents for putting up with me and being the most supportive folks ever as well as some of you guys here on the site who keep reading what little I have here. For the moment though, I can focus all of my attention when I'm not at the beck and call of my parents (I basically asked them to treat me like a servant to earn my upkeep at my house considering we hire maids usually) on writing. Yay!

I might release what I've got on Unraveling early once I get to a point that I think will be sufficient just to have something to show for it and then continue with my original plan of releasing the rest of the chapters with the new chapter once that is done. It's basically been delayed just due to stress. I am NEVER going to take another sales or coldcalling job again if I can help it. As my counselor said, "you just have too many scruples to do that kind of work." I'm looking forward to using my writing and media skills with my new position though, so keep me in your thoughts and prayers on that front everyone.

Oh, and let's not forget...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE/PONY/THING!
